3 Weeks of Constant Muscle Twitch

I had a constant muscle twitch in my elbow that went for a month or more. As for the tongue, all tongues wiggle when you stick them out. It's completely normal. The tightness in the neck, throat sounds like anxiety. I get that myself. Sometimes I even have a gagging sensation too.

    Numbness, Twitching and Panic

I have been twitching now for 5 months. I took a break from this site back in May because it seemed whenever I came on here, I'd run across a post where someone brought info over from an *** site and it would send me into a panic. Now here I am back, still in a panic. I had a very thorough (15...

    Tongue Twitches: Normal Movement?

It feels like a pop or a throb if it's just a quick hit and run twitch. Sometimes it feels like a few more throbs if you get more than one twitch at once. Sometimes it can even feel like an electrical shock, like someone snapped a rubber band on your tongue. I also get the buzzing, tightness and...

    Anxiety and Elbow Hotspot Worries

I'm having a really bad time of this (AGAIN!), especially since I read something bad on here and also in a magazine that made my anxiety level go through the roof. Anyway I have been having this hotspot in my elbow for a good long while and it has been making me nervous because there is a...

    Localized Twitch Worries Me

My neuro and my GP said the same thing as Sean's. Hotspots can last and last. I think I am almost at two weeks with this right elbow twitch. You get that too, huh Sean? It's annoying as hell. The arm "feels weak" like Sean said too, but it's completely strong according to my doctors.

    Feeling of Numbness in Extremities

Hi Val,I agree with what Sharon said. I think we all start to connect dots that aren't there when we get any kind of pain or maybe some sort of muscle fatigue. If we weren't having the twitching, we probably wouldn't pay it any mind. I have been having this pain in my throat thing lately, like...

    Hotspot-Related Muscle Tiredness

Thanks for the responses everyone. My elbow is still going *sigh* It still feels tight, stiff and fatigued, a bit tender too. This morning I thought the whole arm felt weak. I went to the GP today though and she checked it and did some strength tests. She told me I'm still strong and the elbow...

    Tight Throat and Myclonic Jerks

Hi Anne,I will pray for you :)My neuro told me the jerks are benign as well, even if they are during the day because I definitely get them during the day. Sometimes my hand will swing out or my whole shoulder will move. I think the BFS in a nutshell even states this as well.

    Do Anti-Depressants Reduce Twitching?

I can't speak for everyone else, but I took Zoloft and it made everything worse. It was like all my symptoms exploded. I had and still have twitching everywhere. I don't usually tolerate medications well so maybe it's just me.

    Hotspot-Related Muscle Tiredness

I notice when I have a hotspot, like I have been having one in my right elbow for instance for several days, that the muscle feels somewhat tired. I figure that it kind of makes sense since the muscle is moving nearly constantly. I just notice that the arm seems fatigued. When I had one in my...

Neuro Follow Up Discussion - Anxiety Questions

I think I made him sound so much nicer in the post lol, but I do think he was getting a bit fed up with me. I can't blame him in a way. He probably thinks I should be completely reassured and yet I am asking him all these questions which prove I'm not.I think you are fine though Linda, and I...

    Do Muscle Twitches Require Feeling?

Yeah I get those too, the ones you see but not feel. I even get ones I can feel, but not see, like in my elbow right now. I only can only tell it's twitching by putting my hand over it and I can feel the muscle moving.

Flexing Muscle Twitching: Good or Bad?

Ditto to what Sean said. My neuro said the same thing that it doesn't matter where you twitch, how long, tensed or relaxed muscle etc., it you have been examined and had *** ruled out, then one twitch isn't more worrisome than another.Linda, my neuro just says benign. He doesn't seem to...

Neuro Follow Up Discussion - Anxiety Questions

Yesterday I went for a follow up with my neuro to discuss the EMG and some meds he put me on for my ET. I made sure to ask a lot of questions because as you can see by a number of my posts lately, I am still very anxious.I asked him first that if someone could have a clean EMG and ever have ***...

    Twitching Under Tongue: Concerns?

I just tried to search this on here and couldn't find too much on the subject, so I'm just wondering, does anyone twitch under their tongue? It seems lately this keeps happening to me, ever since I started and stopped the Zoloft. The meds have to be out of my system now I would think though, but...

    Worse days: Twitching Legs

Some of mine have been very strong as well Anne, like moving a whole shoulder even or jerking my hand. I had a few jerks though and twitches when holding things before the EMG and that was completely normal so I'm trying not to freak too much but of course it's very hard.

    Palatal Myoclonus: Experiences?

Yeah I definitely have that. I do this involuntary swallow thing and get the clicking in the ears too. I usually get it when I am most anxious, like today for instance :(

Six Months of Twitching - Intro

I have had that before, definitely, usually it is the thumb pushing toward my index finger but I have had the opposite. Also, just because a twitch lasts for several days and is almost non stop, does not mean anything. They are known as hot spots around here. This whole mess started for me with...

    Worse days: Twitching Legs

Cindy, I feel the exact same way and I told my doctor as well. I said, "Well it's not easy to just feel like you are fine, when all these new and strange symptoms keep showing up." I'm still feeling crappy and I would think the Zoloft should be out of my system by now. I have had this non stop...
