Need Advice on Twitching Legs

I get them in foot arch Amy. I get little random ones but mainly the foot: cramps and I think it looks different but that's my view! These threads made me feel a little better x

I think stress & anxiety work like a massive amplifier and boost the twitches !! I get them all over but I'm really working on chilling out and trying to feel less anxious .... I've nothing to be anxious about right now other than my twitches !!! The circle continues until we de stress and put our anxiety to the side.

I think we all peak on the worry roller coaster but its all about getting off that worry roller coaster when it's down or it will just keep going ! You can do it ! Take your guys advice and all the others on here who twitch, I've twitched a lot years ago and came through 100% ok so I'm focusing on that right now ! Occupy your time with positive things you enjoy doing. I even find just bring at work helps as I have work to do and it takes my mind off my worries !

New symptoms, is this bfs routine? Sore thigh muscles a few weeks ago, lasted for 2 weeks, back again now with sore bicep muscles and stiff left hand, any ideas? Thanks

My right tricep was going 24/7 and it kinda feels achy today ... Even the bicep feels funny.. It has stopped twitching though so on a positive note that's 1 hot spot down and only the tongue to stop now !! I have read a lot of people here get aches and pains.. I woke up a few days ago all achy and kinda stuff but it wore off after I got up and showered etc... Here's one for you.... When you twitch or get hot spots do you hold your arm up and study it etc ? Move it in ways you prob wouldn't be doing if you weren't twitching ? Maybe that can make you feel kinda sore ?

I don't think I've moved anything differently than normal, this whole thing is driving me mad, my twitching is constant and in the same place which doesn't seem to be the norm for bfsers, and now this aching! Thanks for replying

hi amyloumy left arm and hand has intermittent stiffness and pain.some days its fine but today my forearm is sore and fingers feel stiff :( 2 days ago my left calf was achy..but thats fine today...god knows what it will be tomorrow!!

My right arm feels kinds sore or not right ... hard to explain but I think its because ive been constantly twitching on the tricep which has now stopped, well at least its not every few seconds any longer...I think its because the right arm has been my center of focus for the past 9 days ... sometimes my right hand feels like its not working but I think that`s circulation as its freezing when I am sitting at my desk... When the hand warms up its not that bad...

Over the last week I developed what felt like my calves had cramped. This was following a period of a couple days of non stop calf twitching in both legs. My calves feel very tight. I have gotten a little relief from Epsom salt baths plus heating pad to calves. Just a thought to try....

I've had enough of this, I don't know what to do, I'm so scared I've got als I can't stop thinking about it. My thigh muscles are sore again just from walking around at work. A lady told me I was far too young to have sore muscles and she would be worried if she was me. I don't want to go back to the drs again, I also have sore arms when I lift or pull something. This is ruining my life and I'm letting it, I just don't know what to do.

I know it's disconcerting to feel soreness that you're not used to and can't explain, but it seems like a lot of folks on this forum have experienced the same thing. Happened to me with my left leg -- and actually, that leg still feels oddly stiff at times. When I mentioned it to my neuro he just kind of shrugged and didn't seem worried about it. I think when we're anxious for long periods of time, we can have too much cortisol streaming through our body, and that causes our muscles to become tight/sore. At least that's how my dr explained it to me (my homeopath, that is). He told me to sleep more (easier said than done with a baby who's keeping me up all night!), take extra B vitamins, and relieve my anxiety through massage, yoga, breathing exercises, etc. The achiness is better these days, and hopefully, you'll feel better soon, too!

Don't worry about sore muscles, I have had chronic lower back pain on and off for over 4 years now and about 4 weeks ago the pain moved from the lower right back right into my left buttock ... It woke me up slightly throbbing today !She'll probably has a good point with what she has said although I know nothing about cortisol but hey it sounds viable to me !

hi amylouim having abad today just when i thought twitching had gone it started today in left calf and my leg feels sore.i also get sore arms when i lift things etc..im back worrying like a mad thing and thinking the worst :(

Shell67 and anxious guy do you two twitch all the time too? Thank you both for replying, grapepie I think you're in the same boat as me x

Yes I am twitching from feet to head ... My calves in particular are usually going constant .. If I roll up my trouser and look at them I can usually see twitches that I can feel and I can also feel some too but they are active ! I get random twitches all over too quite often. A lot of people here twitch from head to toe, prob most people actually.

Well it's pretty much all the time... Right now my calves feel like they are crawling, very strange feeling but I can only see the odd twitch there, same with my feet. Since I woke its been constant and I know it's a common sensation with us BFS people. I get the odd limb twitch, buzz and tingle too whiskey this is going on and the odd tongue tip twitch and eye twitch all whilst typing this.. The more I look and wait for it to happen I get more anxiety and it happens more... I genuinely believe its 90% worse with anxiety ! I know that even my wife twitches and she doesn't have BFS, because I've been going on about it so much lately she has started to notice hers lol and she started to analyse her speech etc and even she thought by analysing her speech made her talk a bit different and again she does not have BFs or any form of anxiety ! I bet your very anxious right now and a minute of the day doesn't go by with out you thinking about symptoms and asking "what if" ... I guarantee you that if you stop worrying like that your symptoms will reduce... They prob wont go away but they will reduce to a rate you can deal with and be calm with.I was here about 4 years ago, started in my chin for months and body wide but I made a complete recovery and hadn't worried about twitching until my tongue tip started 9 weeks ago ! Over the past lot of years I did twitch but it was able to ignore it as there were no hot spots lasting but I wasn't anxious, my hot spots kick of if I get lack of sleep, big change in routine and anxiety ! I hope that helps you a little ..
