    Experiencing Colored Twitching?

Yep. Every single day. Drives me crazy too. Impressive picture, by the way!

    Exploring Common Types of Pain

In what body parts do you experience pain? ARCHES! Also: Fingers, wrists, right ankle, back and head Is the pain persistent in any one area? My back--but I think I hurt it. My arches--think it's because they NEVER stop twitching! Does the pain remit or is it constant? See above... I really...

    Living Life with BFS

Hey! I love when I can pipe in with stuff like this: I have hyperreflexia too! It's on both sides. HOWEVER, my right side is worse than my left. I've seen three, count 'em THREE, neurologists (one of whom is a specialist in ALS) all all say that some people are just born that way. Medications...

    Managing an Occasional Tremor

Hey Akeurogh, I'm also a nurse and work with my hands lots. My tremors get worse after doing some really physically taxing things (which usually end up being in the rooms of old ladies who need the temp to be like 105 degrees). I haven't run into too much trouble with the tremor. Starting IVs...

    Twitching After Working: Poll

Hey folks. It just makes me nuts that my twitches are SO STRONG and I can feel them SO PROFOUNDLY after exertion/working a shift on my feet. My arches--which twitch constantly but rather "lightly"--get aggressive, thumpy and dang strong after a full day. Which makes me wonder if I'm not alone...

Exploring BFS Syndrome: A Medical Mystery

Here's where I feel it's necessary, though, to address the prospect of an autoimmune etiology. I've heard and read here and there that BFS may be a result of some autoimmune process, but I'm curious what researchers theorize that process might be. For example, is the standing hypothesis that...

Health Anxiety & Twitching: A Common Struggle

Hi Eddy. Welcome! As you come to read the posts here, you'll see that many of us--myself certainly included--suffer from health anxiety, especially as it relates to our twitching. This condition is so pronounced and so undeniably there, that it's really a struggle to believe it's benign, no...

    Health Care Field: How Many?

But the $$$$ is more like $$, we know other things besides what's to eat, where things are, and who's "sleeping with who," and we complain about our feet 'cause they twitch!! ;) Just for the record...

    Fast Tremor When Lifting Thumb

Hey. First: I get a similar tremor (only sometimes). Neuro's seen it and isn't impressed. Second: I recently freaked and put up a post about twitching faster than anyone should. I had this super-fast twitch going in my fingers. Apparently I'm not alone. Third: Tremor with intentional motion...

    Fish Oil and Aspirin: Danger?

Yep. Too much aspirin. A "standard" blood-thinning, preventative dose of aspirin for someone with no major risk factors for stroke/clots is 81 mg (usually called a "baby aspirin"). 2, 4 or certainly 5 325 mg pills daily is risky. Definitely be sure not to take any Pepto with that either...

    BFS Joint Popping/Cracking Experiences

Yeah! MmHm! I know what you mean. I wasn't going to mention it (as it's one of my least bothersome symptoms and hey--choose your battles, right?) but: In recent months my joints are all crunchy! My ankles, shoulders, wrists and back seem to be the worst (and I've never been a very...

    Weird Sensation on My Thigh

So there's this strip on the side of my left thigh that's weird. Not numb. Not painful/pins and needles. Not twitchy. It's like when something has fallen asleep, and then it starts to wake up and is kind of ticklish, maybe? Maybe shaky? Jiggly? Touchy? It's just weird. It's like I don't want to...

Don't Freak Out: Reassuring EMG Results

Hey. I'm so sorry you're going through this. It SUCKS any time something changes or is new. I'm very twitchy today after a couple "good" days, and even that freaks me out, despite my having been through this many times before. Here's something to consider: This is in the forefront of my mind...

    Thank You Always: Twitch Story

As always: Thank you. This helps. Going to the *** specialist tomorrow, so I'll let you know how that works out. Roger: Two Things: 1) I must say that I picture you as this sarcastic, studious and jaded old sage who's mastere'd the art of mind over twitches, and 2) I actually figured out at...

Twitching Muscles - Am I Doomed?

OK. Thank you. Now I'm scared it won't stop, though! I can do the heel/toe-heel-heel-toe-toe dance fine (and I work 12.5 hour shifts on my feet with no more fatigue than anyone else). But I realy don't think it's gonna stop!! P.S. Twitching 5 months on the 26th at 3 p.m. :( Negative...

Twitching Muscles - Am I Doomed?

Oh man. This sucks: My arches always always always twitch. BUT, today I discovered that if I curl all my toes in/down (contracting the muscle), they STILL TWITCH CONSTANTLY (maybe even more!). I curl my toes down, and watch the wrinkled up side of my foot twitch and jiggle away WHILE THE MUSCLE...

Freaked Out About My Foot Twitching

This is what my feet do every day. Some days it's worse. Some days it's better. They're "dancing," though, all the time (In the same muscle groups you describe, with the same "indent" and everything). Not to worry...

Foot Twitches: Thumps, Pops and Buzzes

My arches twitch 24/7. If I look at them for 10 seconds, I'll see at least one twitch (usually more like 5). Always. Never fails. And by "arches," I mean specifically the wrinkly part of the bottom and sides of my feet (which of course I like to scrutinize for atrophy, but that's neither here...

Booking September Honeymoon to Costa Rica

OK. OK. I can do this. Thanks to your son also, Val, for his insight. He is right. I am J-U-S-T S-O S-C-A-R-E-D. I'm sure many (most?) of us here are as well. Just so so scared, it's saddening. Every day a new symptom, or recurrance of an old... It is true. I would have to be a 27-year-old...
