I met alot of BFSERS with joint popping cracking... its weird it comes and goes.. it happen to me in the 3rd month of BFS.. i noticed all my joints.. neck .. knees,, shoulders. wrist.. would always pop or crack with the slightest movement.. when i would walk i would feel my knees popping in and out of the socket.. its a weird symptom.. its most likely due to the tendon rubbing on the bone and slipping.. i havent had this for a long time but during the first 2 years of BFS it really bothered me,, enough to see a docotr,.. it was just blown off as nothing,, it will get better with time,, so i would worry to much about it.. hope this helps

Yeah! MmHm! I know what you mean.
I wasn't going to mention it (as it's one of my least bothersome symptoms and hey--choose your battles, right?) but: In recent months my joints are all crunchy! My ankles, shoulders, wrists and back seem to be the worst (and I've never been a very "poppy" person).
In typical form (and having had one test with positive rheumatoid factor), I've convinced myself that this is a likely symptom of impending rheumatoid arthritis and that I'll be crippled soon. Why do all roads seem to lead to crippled?
Good though, as always, to hear others are experiencing this.
By the way, Andy: How did you ever fare with that subcutaneous fibrous tissue mystery? I think of you ever time I'm contemplating my own fibrousness. ;)

I have had the same symptoms, pretty much any bending of the joints near my "hot spots of the day" were crackly.

I found that basic stretching helped a bit. My experience was that by stretching out the crackling joints releaved that cracking for a little while and I think may have slightly reduced the fascics for a short time.
