It isn't relevant whether you have twitches or fasics. Benign FASICULATION syndrome means you can have fasics ANYWHERE (including the tongue!) and NOT have ALS. Race,You don't have ALS. You just don't. In three years you would be worrying about a lot more than a weird movement of the tongue. I don't mean to trivialize it because these twitches are probably the most alarming to us which I think is mainly a result of incorrect or conflicting...

Fibrillation would not not come and co..its contiuous. Tongue fibrillation is like water surface during storm.

Doc, even if he does have true fasics (like most of us tongue twitchers - and trust me as I've had my share of investigation on that matter) this certainly doesn't mean he needs to be concerned and neither should you.

I've had this for YEARS (so does my sister). It's the most amusing twitch there is :)

I didn't exactly have an inner eye twitch, but I did have a pressure sensation - like I sometimes get in my calf or jaws (I have severe TMJ).In any case, I really wouldn't worry about this symptom.CheersMay

When it comes to the tongue - I've had it all, including this weird sensation described. It is like the tongue wants to twitch, but somehow is "stuck", thus the pressure sensation.Don't give it another thought. It's nothing ominous.Regards,May
