What Causes Intense Twitching?

If I crouch or sit on my feet so my legs are bent for several minutes and then straighten my legs I get intense, extremely strong twitches for a few minutes and then it subsides. It's like hundreds of twitches per second so strong it almost hurts. What could this be?

Same thing happens to me if I tense my calves. It's like a lightning rod for the twitches whenever you put extreme stress on those muscles. Not to worry, not just you.

I get that when I contract my triceps.....they harden right up...hurt, and it takes awhile for them to relax...and it slowly comes back with a FLURRY of twitches and pain....then there are little sporatic twitches throughout the day with low grade pain.....

One doc called it "tetany" and Rxd Flexeril.......doesn't seem to work very well.....

I get that also when I over do it with my legs with squat exercises. It sometimes last for a day or two after doing squat exercises for me.
