Twitching Tongue: Experiences?

Seems like in my previous thread it was misunderstood.I would like to ask, does anyone here feel a twitch on their tongue when the tongue was resting? Like anywhere else. Please respond to me..

Bailyloves: thank you. Do you feel them? I mean, you are just at the rest with mouth closed and suddenly you just feel the twitch in the tongue? Have you ever seen it? Thanks

priorityhigh: I know, but some people here stick out the tongue and think that the movement they see is fasciculation. I was asking just if anyone notice tongue twitches suddenly when not examining the month - ie with mouth closed. You know, just like you notice any other twitch.

The answer is yes, I doubt there is 1 person here that hasn't expierence tongue twitches. What you are saying about people seeing their tongue move when they stick it out, is not actually a twitch, more of a tremble, and that too is completely normal. But again, yes, and me personally, have had "resting" tongue twitches for years.~*~Amy~*~

i only feel my tongue twitching at rest... in the beginning i ran to the mirror to see it and few times saw the twitch. i don´t worry about it any more.... just a twitch like all the others

Sylvia, Highpriority: Thank you both for the answers...I am happy to read that as it means that is not true what we have learned about tongue fasciculations. Well, maybe the "bag of worms" fasciculations are what is not benign, who knows. It is interesting because it means that BFS is not just spinal cord problem (as cranial nerves are affected), so maybe autoimmune or metabolic.PS: How did you manage to do not freak out? This twitch on the tongue, when it suddenly appears and tingle/buzz, is the only twitch that I am anxious about.Anyway, thanks!

Mine are definitely felt at rest...when watching a movie, driving in the car, doing a sit up, etc. No one keeps track of this phenomenon because in my experience neuros do not even record symptoms they don't observe and sometimes when the don't observe them they think you are making it up or exaggerating an normal physiological sensation. But yes, this board and its members experience prove that the tongue is effected at times just like the calves and all other muscles. I hope you feel lots better now.

Krackersones: Yes, I do. From your previous post I got the impression that you do not have them when your tongue is resting. You just do not want to look at it - I understood that you did not see them but tried to. Thanks for information
