Twitching Simultaneously: BFS?

I have had this happening for pretty much as long as I have been twitching, which is a year. I wonder if it's common in BFS to have twitch attacks where you twitch in very different places at the same time. This is seemingly how a lot of mine are. For instance, I will twitch in my left shoulder, then a second later the inside of my right knee, then my left foot, then my lip... all within a matter of seconds.

Thats exactly how my twitches are. Popcorn like. I cant even see them they are so fast and one pop here and there. Very annoying, but then again very thankful that I don't have to sit there and STARE at them all day.

It's funny you should say that, because that's just what I was thinking last night laying in bed. I was twitching on my thighs, knees, shoulders, some facial twitching, just randomly everywhere. Gets very annoying! That is actually why it's hard to explain sometimes to the neuro, cause I will have times like that, where they are everywhere radnomly, but then other times when it tends to settle down into a 'hotspot'. I think, though, when I'm having a bad hotspot that I might be nervous about, I still might be getting them in other places, just not noticing them as much. Like, for some reason, I can be a nervous wreck that my lips or jaw is twitching, but my calf can be going at it, and I'll hardly notice. I would say, though, that in general, the way you describe that is mostly how my twitches occur. And, like I said, it was really bad last night, I remember thinking, this is ridiculous, I'm twitching everywhere! I have heard that is more likely benign, though. Have you tried vitamin supplements? I'm going to get some magnesium today that was suggested to me. I forget the exact name of it, it's on another recent post here. Good luck! Val

Yes, magnesium overdosing can lead to worse twitching. Anything over 500mg at a time. and you run the risk of magnesium overdosing, which will give you diarrhea. This results in further depletion of magnesium which in turn causes twitching to worsen. I take two 200mg caps in the morning and one around 9pm. It helps some.
