Twitching and Right Leg Symptoms

Hi this is my first post..My twitching started about 2 months ago. I get them all over but about 70% in my right leg, from the top of my hip all the way to the tip of my toe. my right leg also feels fatigued, stiff muscles, has muscle pain, and becomes sore after very little exercise.. Ive had an MRI on my brain- normal, neuro exam- normal, EMG- normal.. My neuroligist said the fasiculations are probably benign, but he seems clueless as to why I'm having the other symptoms... Does anyone with BFS have symptoms in one limb?

Casey,Mine started in my right leg and stayed that way for the first few weeks, then went all over. But your question has been asked MANY times on here and on the chat site. Its very common. So YES, it can absolutely be more active in one limb. -Matt

I did and do. My right leg tends to be worse than my left. Just today it's a lot stiffer, more tender, and the muscles are easily fatigued. Even just a slow mile-long walk this morning was a lot for that leg, though the left leg was much less uncomfortable. Note that this is just one person's experience, that is to say one mouse, one data point, one impression. But I hope it helps.

Casey, mine is always worse in the right leg and I get pain and muscle aches too. I'm rather lopsided when it comes to BFS. My left arm and right leg are frequent offenders. My right arm hasn't twitched in months.

Yes! 95% in my left leg. One year down and going strong, no worries! Ignore the twitches, take Ibuprofen for the aches and find something to distract yourself. Also, some of us keep a journal, I find mine is pretty cyclical.

Hello,I have twitches and tingling now for about three months. My 4 neuro exams ( last one two weeks ago) didn't show anything, but I'm terribly scared- actually every day it's getting worse. Why- because of all additonal syptoms that came after the twitching and tingling onset (eye problems with normal eye examination results, pain in my muscles, feeling weak, painful sensations on my left side of face etc.) so they suggested me to visit a psychiatrist. So I went to a docotor, that is specialist of neurlology and psychiatry. He asked me about the problems I have. And it happens to me, for a month or more maybe, that on times I feel tingling in my left middle finger (only the top of it), it lasts for a few days (2 or 3) then goes away, then it repeated in a few days in other two fingers, lasted for a day and went away. Now I feel tingling in my middle finger on my left foot, for bout a week, before that it was in my foot thumb (also on left, two days), then it moved up to my leg, and reached the knee. It lasted for a few hours, and that happened to me once before (three weeks before the thumbs). I also have felt tingling in my right leg, but just for few minutes, never a day or days like on my right side. Otherwise tingling stays located on these spots on my left side). It's funny how I feel it in my little finger, but it just doesen't go away and I am so terribly scared, becasue that neuropsychiatrist said that if tingling in only on one side it could really be ms. Otherwise I also have twithces, almost eveyday. Do you also have tingling that remains located on one spot or comes back on the same place in a time? Is it possibe bfs tingling affect just one finger at a time or is it a syptom of ms (I know you don't have it but maybe you know the answe anyway). thanks and good luck to you all, B.

thanks Matthias. sorry for posting such stupid questions on times, but the things that are happening with my body these times have totally freaked me out. Also the fear has made all the things really worse and on times unbearable. I listen to my body all the time, every strange thing scares me to death... But untill my neurologists say I'm fine, I have to belive them (thanks God). You've all been there so you probably know how I feel. Have a nice day

right leg as well! Actually right foot! I think had I not have this mostly in one foot I wouldn't worry so much. I still to this day after 3 years say my right foot is not normal. fine twitching, fatigued, not sturdy. BUT if I test my strength ect it's 100 percent normal so who knows! the unknown sucks!
