Twitching Above Left Knee

Hi everyone,After almost a year of random twitching I've developed a periodic twitch just above my left knee. No weakness there, but I don't know how a knee weakness would appear. It happens every couple of minutes on the inner side just above the left knee and lasts several seconds. I noticed this twitch 5 days ago and it is happening all the time. I don't care about my 24/7 calves twitching, but this is something new that has amped up my anxiety again, because It's happening in the very same muscle. Is this a popular twitching spot? How to revert my attention from this cr#p?I've found some posts here describing something similar, but really need reassurence...AndyAnd the similar posts:

Twitching in the same muscle as you described, sometimes referred to as a hotspot, is extremely common. I'm actually surprised after a year that this is your first experience with it. Worrying about something that you should expect with BFS is a waste of your energy so please stop. Location doesn't matter. Let it go.

Hi there,Ah the dreaded hot spot.My anxiety was sky high over the same issue (mine was the second post you reference). It went on for a couple of weeks straight. Then, as quickly as it came, it left. And yours will too, just give it time.

Hi,Thank you for your encouraging words. I'm really happy to hear it from experienced members like you...I remember 9 months ago reading posts of 1 year anniversaries. I thought then that the time itsef should cure us. But with the symptoms constantly changing, and now a persistent spot... hmm, it isn't easy at all.Colls, happy to hear that it went away for you. I remember writing to you a time ago (maybe 1/2 year ago) that your joining date on the community should be reassuring enough. Mine would seem also for new members, but as you see I just freaked out because of a hot spot...Thank you for addressing my worries,AndyEDIT: Just advanced to a Senior Member by writing this post, hmm...

Hi, my left knee twitches a lot. The way I'm trying to make myself feel better about it is by going to the gym and doing leg weights which I am having no problem doing. It's been doing the twitching now for nearly a month. The other day it went mad after I had been driving a manual car (something I had not done for a while as I now have an automatic). I kept pressing on the clutch and it went into overdrive.I hope you feel better soon.
