Tongue Twitching: My Experience

How long did yours last and which part of tongue. What did it look like/feel?I just got tongue twitching yesterday that lasted for hours! It scared me, because I never really seen my tongue twitch. I only felt tongue tingles, vibrations or pop sensations. Yesterday, however, I saw part of the left side of my tongue twitching... it looks like when your eyelids twitches but on the tongue! It has gone away, but I can feel a little pop in and there on the same area.

Happens exactly as you described. It will be year in less than month and I am still talking/swallowing fine (you can find my scared postst). Its juts that your axons to tongue are hyperexcitable and fire from some reason. If its membrane problem, then every muscle can suffer from that. Do not worry much about it..if your tongue does not deviate to one side when stuck out, there is not weakness.Take care,Docen

Thanks for the reassurance. I've also had what I believe to be throat twitching which is actually worse than tongue twitching. My throat fluttered for at least 3 months every day and it finally stopped. Now I'm experiencing this tongue twitching so it's a bit stressful, but I have a strong feeling it's benign.

Having same since last 1 yr,i think in d absence of difficulty in swallowing/speech ,one shouldnt worry.tatsu u can read my latest post,3 day old.Do u have tongue fascs after acts of coughing or after yawning?pl take care....dr baily.
