Thumb Twitch Persisting for Days

Hi,I honestly feel embarrassed even posting this because I just reassured someone before that twitches you can see and not feel are not a big deal. However, on Thursday, I was getting a twitch in my thumb and it was moving the whole finger. I didn't think too much of it, other than that it was annoying and hopefully would pass soon. However, it persisted all day. Then yesterday it seemed to stop. However, I looked at the thumbpad or the meaty part under the thumb on the palm and noticed there are still constant flickering of muscles. They never stop! They just keep going and I can't even feel them. So I tried to calm myself yesterday telling myself they would pass. However, they are still there. Then I noticed you can only see them in a certain light and it totally freaked me out! I have had hotspots before and who knows if this has been going on right along, but right now I'm thoroughly freaked. Anyone else experience this?

Just an update on another issue--Got invited to go out to dinner with some family. I was going to say no because I was such a wreck but then I thought that the best thing to do was to keep myself busy instead of staring at my palm so I went. We ended up doing some shopping beforehand and I was doing pretty good. I picked up a 14 pound box of litter with my left thumb and I told myself "This is silly. So what you have a hotspot." Then we went to have some chicken. I wasn't even thinking of my throat spasms that have been an issue and the source of my relapse into anxiety. My throat twitched only slightly today which pleased me as well. So we are eating, talking and laughing. I was done with my meal, eating my last piece of chicken and then I got the strangest sensation in my throat like it was paralyzed and the food was just there, before the swallowing action took place and it went down. It was awful and I wanted to run out of there in tears. I was like, oh no what is happening? I was wondering if it was a spasm during swallowing or if this was it again. I just really, really hate this.
