Thumb Ache Concerns - Help?

I haven't seen this posted anywhere else, so I thought I'd ask. Does anyone get aching pains in their hands? I have it in both thumbs, toward the base. Of course it makes me fear that they are becoming weak. This has been going on for at least a week. Usually I have migrating pain, but most of me is remaining pain-free for the time being. It's just the thumbs that are concerning me.And since I'm already here--my toes are going crazy today!

hello,I have had pain in my hands on and off for a very long time. I am an avid reader, sometimes just holding my book can make my hands hurt like hell.My mum always told me it was because i crack my knuckles and i'd given myself arthritis......oh god, another thing to worry about!!!!!Zoe

This symptom is driving me a bit nuts. My thumbs, and sometimes hands in general, hurt. They mostly hurt when I pick something up at a certain postition or angle. I don't think I have any weakness, but worry that this is something that comes immediately before weakness, if you get my hypochondriac logic. Can we be the only ones with achey hands? Anyone else?

twin, i get that pain too in both base of thumbs. When I pick up a piece of paper or something it begins to feel sore in that area. I also get twitching in my thumbs a lot. If I hold something with my index finger and thumb for more than a minute I begin to get tremors there.

i have been getting pain in my hands (mostly the outer part of the palm right below the pinky/ring finger) feeling like tightness/ache when i type sometimes, other times when i pick something up. it gets aggrivated greatly by holding the steering wheel in the car or switching gears. I also have had some pain in the forearms migrating all over from the right forearm to the left up and down both sides - aggrivated by moving my hand in certain positions.Yes I also crack my knuckles and have done so since i was about 12. still trying to convince myself this isn't some horrible disease.

Worried,I had migrating pain in my forearms, shins, ankles, feet, pretty much everywhere before starting on an SSRI. I really haven't had that much lately, just the thumbs. It almost feels like it's in the bones. This BFS stuff isn't for wimps! I do find that the anxiety medication has eased some of the symptoms and I think others have said the same. Becky
