These are small brigth red spots on the skin, I have noticed I am getting more of these in the last year or so, not too worried about them but they do sometimes point to auto immune disorders, do others have these....I also have some red marks and bumps on my chest that seems to stubbornly hang around, all this could relate to diet of course and my gums bleed regularly, yet during my round of blood tests recently they found nothing, do others have similar symptoms?

I have them, and more with each passing month (and quite visible on my pale, sallow skin). Since I have borderline thrombocytopenia (low platelets), I've had a lot of blood tests for autoimmune disorders. A dermatologist I saw about them in 2005 (before the thrombocytopenia started) said they just happened to some people and were nothing to worry about.

Have had them for as long as I can remember. A dermatologist I saw said the same thing as the other poster's. Some people just have them. Also, my primary care doc said you do get more of them as you get older.
