Should I Go To Neuro Follow Up?

Hi guys...I have my six month "follow up" with my neuro next week. Honestly, I'm wondering if it's even worth my time going. My twitching is pretty much the same as it was six months ago. Some days a lot less, some days a little more. However, I have no weakness or atrophy at all, and I'm wondering if going in is just a waste of my time, and money...or if there is a good reason to actually go. What do you all think? Thanks!! :D)

You've pretty much answered your own question. :D) Personally, I wouldn't go, but others will post the opposite of that. You will have to make up your own mind, but it sounds like you are leaning toward not going. Be brave, get on with your life, it's just bfs. A new mantra of mine. :p

Really, just listen to your own heart, it counts for considerably more than what a bunch fo well-meaning Internet people have to say, myself included.

Hi,

I just got back from my 3-month neuro check up. There have been absolutely no changes in me except that I am MUCH stronger than I was 3 months ago due to my diligent gym visits. ;)

After expressing my fears again, my neuro offered an EMG to ease my mind even though she does not think I need one, and I turned it down because if it's clean and I'm still twitching, I'll still worry...if there are any abnormalities, even minor, I'll worry more...and I won't entertain any other options. So I am trying to accept that I passed the strength test with flying colors and my blood test is fine and therefore "for now" as she likes to say, I'm fine.

She does want me back in 3 months and I'm wondering if I should go for the same reason - no changes means no change in diagnosis, right? She did say that after one year of twitching with no other changes it's simply BFS, so I can quit worrying then but that I should quit worrying now as stress and attitude does make it worse and there is nothing wrong with me right now. So, anyone have any great distractions out there that have worked for you? Send them along. I'll try anything!

Ally
