Please send me some good vibes.

I am SOOOOOO scared that something will turn up on the MRI. It's a bran and C-neck MRI.

Follow up appointment with the neuro in on Monday.

Since a few days, I have had a flare up of my right neck and shoulder pain... but it feels like it's definitely muscular.

Anyway... I will give you guys an update on Monday.

I am nervous. :(

Hello there,

Thanks for all the good wishes.

Well, I did have my MRI on Saturday morning and it went well as far as lying down in that stupid little area.
I didn't get any reading from the radiologist there or anything.

Yesterday I had my neuro appointment.

- My C-spine MRI showed a little portrusion of the C5-C6 disc, but it does not touch the spinal cord at all. It is a very small portrusion but enough to cause the pain and limited mobility in my neck and even maybe some of the tingling in my hands.
She said it's nothing and I can't really do anything about it.

- A little white spot on the C-neck that the radiologist pointed out but my neuro says it is just an artifact and it's not there.

- On my brain, there is a tiny white spot... I think she called it an undefined spot. She said it is nothing to worry about. A lot of people have them and even more than I do when they have frequent headaches.
She said she is an MS specialist and that is DEFINITELY not what I have. The spot is not even on the right place for that.

She said I should be very happy with the results and not stress out.
She does want to do a repeat MRI in 6 months and use this one as a baseline.

As for the twitches, she said an EMG is definitely not needed for me and I totally agree.

I have a bit of hyper-reflexes in my right leg but she said that is normal because I am young (27) and the reflexes don't go the wrong way.

She diagnosed me with BCFS.
Surprise, surprise huh??

She did have my blood drawn to check for Magnesium, Potassium, etc etc. and also Lyme... Again, she says she is almost sure this is NOT what I have.

Anyway... I would love to have your feedback on the one spot on the brain she saw.
Is it really that common?

Thanks!!

PS: I really like my neuro. She seems very reasonable in what she does.

Yes, it is pretty common to find all kinds of "spots on the brain". I have two of them and they mean nothing according to all the neuros. Some say it is small spots of ischemia but again don't mean MS or something else. I have an MRI every couple of years to see if they have changed at all. So far nothing.
