Seeking Reassurance after Difficult Year

Hey how are you I'm still feeling the symptoms but not as bad though it gets bad when I put on my shoes and it's only on my right foot but like you I sat there and I feel it more on top of the foot than anywhere else. Make ankle feels weak but Im still walking fine for now my foot is sore and my right hand is weak like my pinch grip and grip in general. Sometimes it feels weak and sometimes it hurts in my bicep then sometimes I feel like I have good strength so I don't know hon I guess and hope this is all BFS or in my head I haven't had a lot of twitches though I guess is a good thing. My right shoulder has been aching so I might of done something who knows. Thanks for your support you have been a good help. Houston

Well, if this bpthers you, better to check again withthe doctor (do clinical exam), but I had the same on LEFT SIDE - strange feeling at the top of the foot, especially in the shoes, feeling of weaker grip in the left hand etc. most of my troubles are tended to left side of the body (left eye sight is worse, more pains in the left mammal gland, sorry for details, etc.).SO BFS really can play that games, but again, if you feel it gets worse, go and do clinicalexam. it is usually enough. Transient pains are also in the picture.by the way I am almost sure you test your right side vigorously. So do not be surprised it is sore.

Your right I see the Neuro on the 10th so we will see hopefully everything is good but you describe everything I'm having I'm just having it on my right side. Thanks again hope you have a great day. Houston

My feet feel better but I have another question for you guys I'm so sorry to always be like this but I think I'm getting better. In my calves the right twitches way more than the left like 5x more. I can see the twitches but not feel them is that normal? I mean I can feel them sometimes but when I hold my leg up I can see them but can't feel them I was wondering if this is normal and if they are more pronounced in one than the other. I know Gracely you said yours are on your left so I was just wondering.

Hey Houston,Are you seeing Dr. Daragh Heitzman at Texas Neurology? He is the best ALS specialist in Dallas. Please believe him if he tells you he does not see clinical neurological weakness - he sees so many people with ALS.I saw him and he was a great great doctor and basically told me whatever is bothering my leg/foot/ankle not neurological based.I know its hard to believe, but he said it was most likely BFS/Anxiety/Stress for me.

Hey scaredofsymptoms I wrote you a personal message please read. Thank you for responding to my post Dr. H is a very good doctor just these symptoms I have bothers the heck out of me. Every twitch or everytime my ankle feels like it is going to give out or feels weak it's like a relapse and I trust Dr. H him and Whitney both haha. Houston

Hey guys support worried this morning I woke my right ankle right where the crease is and on the outside of ankle right above the ball going up the outside of my calve. I've been getting a constant twitch but it's not big you can't see it you can only feel it. It's so fast and fine it almost feels like a vibration but it's not it driving me crazy because it is a real fine twitch. My ankle feels weak but I'm able to walk it just feels weird. Then I'm getting a pain in the back go my left calve like a dual ache comes and goes is this familiar with BFS or should I go in and get it looked at please help thanks?! Houston

Shawn is right. I have had seen 4 MND specialists in various places in the UK. 3 extensive emgs all by neurophysiologist involved in MND/ALS work ups, these including multiple limbs, paraspinals and bulbar but it is never enough. Inside my head I think I am secretly planning yet another emg. It is like taking a happy pill for a few weeks, feeling a bit free from all the anxiety.....slowly then the doubts start to creep in....and back on go those chains....the negative whispers about the emg become shouts ..oh he didnt check this, she missed that, those fasciculations she saw were pathological, they have to be, things have changed now, it was too early, too late, in the wrong locations, unskilled person, the machine bleeped, exception to their rule, something missed, I moved when I should have been still, he didnt do enough locations.......it never stops. Only you can stop it.Dont be like me hanging about this site 3 years on watching as others move on. Be stronger than me. Helen x

Hey thinks for the reassurance guys. You know how your mind can play games with you. I'm just having some trouble with my right ankle feeling weak and numb and just feeling weird hope it goes away soon. Again thanks for y'all reassurance this is the only way to conquer fears. This forum and the people on it are great and can't say enough great things about them. Houston

Hey guys not doing so well again I know I sound like a broken record let me update on what's going on and what has happened in the past month. I had my thyroid removed about 3 weeks ago I had hasimotos disease. A little time before that I started twitching in my back, shoulder blades and tricep areas more often than usual. Well it's seems to be getting worse I can feel pain in my right hand and forearm just the right sometimes not all the time but I feel weak and unable to do things like if I say I'm gonna pick something up boom automatically I think weakness in my hand. I wake up every morning and it's there bothering me like my hand doesn't work. I had a Neuro appt my reflexes were a little bit more brisk than last time I don't think that means anything I hope not anyways. I don't know I just have all these symptoms and ALS is creeping back in my head. My triceps feel like they twitch and get swollen up but there not if that makes since. I tire out pretty quickly in my right arm not the left just the right. I hope this is not sinister. I've been in this boat for 6 months I guess I'm in the range of telling if it is going to get bad or if I'm in the clear I hope I'm in the clear. I had a EMG in February and it was clean. Hope it's still good. Thanks for all you guys support I don't know where I would be without you guys. Are twitches in your shoulder blades more concerning than any other twitches you have in your body? My back and shoulders blades just started not to long ago has me nervous.
