Well, it happens with me for years when I am brushing my teeth. It's BFS, it includes muscle load intolerance... weakness (clinical) means that your fingers would not be able to grip the razor, or your shoulder muscles would not be able to raise your arm, not it would ache in 2 minutes of quite intensive movements. Usually our muscles produce lactic acid during hard load but also in a state of rest or moderate load. Pain might mean that either muscle is undersupplied with oxygen (circulatory issue), or lactic acide does not removed fast enouhg (again circulatory issue), or it is oversensitive to normal level of lactic acid formed during physical activitiy (Which for me looks most probable), or there is some condition when lactic acid is formed in excess of normal amount (have no idea about such conditions, but I am not a professional however).Again, I can assure you that have those pains since I was a child, on anf off, and in my 42 I am still doing well ;)))) But I have Ellers syndrome (hypermobility of joins) which is often associated, anong other strange symptomes, with load intolerance. If you are hypermobile in your joints, you may easily account it to that condition and stop worrying about it.

Hi Tripper, funny name, as in Germany Tripper stands for a STD... :)In the beginning of this, I couldnt hold my mobile phone without my shoulder burning like hell. And from time to time it happens again.A few weeks ago I couldnt hardly hold my left arm on the steering wheel. I know this is very frightening, as you could misinterprete it as real weakness. But it's just BFS.I know at least one person from this board who couldnt use a hair dryer for weeks because of the "weakness".So, you are not alone with this.....

Hi Brian, me too, especially the first months I experienced extreme fatigue and that irretating, burning nerve pain in both my arms. I couldn't hold things for a minute (think of holding a cup of coffee, a phone and even a tootbrush). I had different kind of therapies (manual therapy, accupuncture, orthomanual therapy) but they didn't relieve my pain/fatigue that much. I think the best medicine is to relax, listen to your body and in time things will get better, but very slowly.

Jonny32 thanks gor the reply and words of encouragement. By the way here in America Jon means a toliet :) and tripper means someone that freaks out over things

hi journeyer80. Good to see you back. (maybe?)I have the exact same complaint. I noticed alot in the begining of this BFS journey. I complained to a buddy on here how it was hard holding up the video camera for my sons preschool Christmas play last year. It seemed to have subsided for a while, but here recently, about a couple of months ago, it has resurfaced. I don't like it one bit. I was out shooting my shotgun at the trap range and my left bicep also started to feel this way from the continous lifting and holding of the gun. My only comfort is knowing that many others on this forum complain of the exact same thing, and we all have BFS.

I had it in the beginning. Also I notice the more you think about it, the more you notice the burning feeling. I still have it but not that pronounced like it was in the beginning.

Hi Tripper, I also had extreme fatigue in both my arms. It burned like hell when holding a phone, tootbrush etc.... I know it can be very frustrating but you will be fine....
