Restless Ache in Left Arm

Hi Guys,Can anyone sympathize with me? I've had the twitching for a few months now and just recently I have started to notice a "restless" ache in my left arm, hand and fingers. If I try and sit still I get this painful ache in the entire arm from shoulder to tips of fingers and have to constantly play with my hair, or rub my arm to make it go away. Also the fingers tend to twitch toward my palm all the time at rest. Is this normal for BFS? I'm scared because it is really achey and painful. Also, both of my pinky toes twitch out away from the rest of my toes sometimes, I don't know if I'm controlling it or it's happening by itself, 6 months ago, I couldn't even move either pinky toe by itself, now they are able to be moved all the time. I'm so sick of this crap already and I've only been this way since early August. Happy Thanksgiving, by the way...

The achy arm....had it, still have it. My arm is usually jittery weak in the morning. Fatigues throughout the day. Then gets that achy dead arm feeling in the evening. If I totally overdo it, my arm (especially my hand) actually hurts in the morning. Right now, as I type, my forearm is getting more and more fatigued and is beginning to burn.I know TompeteA (search his posts) has very similar symptoms.I gotta go play with my kids, but I will post more. Basically, I have to take comfort in the fact that I have had 3 normal exams, and 1 normal EMG. Pain is also not a sign of ALS. (from what I understand, but I quit googling ANY ALS stuff because it was making me crazy)good luck and talk to you soon,Scott

Restless arm is a good way to put it actually, I have this bad in my left arm, it is constantly irritated, it aches, and the muscles constantly tremor, and often visibly twitch. This runs from the fingers all the way to the shoulder. Weakness in the hand is the worst part of it. It has been very, very bad as of late and has made sleeping very difficult. I have a similar situation in my right leg. So if I sleep on my left side is the the tremoring/twitching muscles in my arm that keep me up, and if I switch to the right side it is the leg that drives me nuts, cant win. I had surgery for carpal tunnel on my left hand about 4 months ago, hoping it would help with the hand weakness and over all arm issues, it has no effect to date. Dont worry though, I have been at this almost three years and am still alive and kicking, although I don't feel quite as alive and don't kick as hard as I used to. Good luck
