Reassurance Needed: BFS After Childbirth

I posted in the other forum. No replies yet. Just curious hoe many women experienced BFS after childbirth and how many have days that your muscles feel like they will jump out of your skin? I have been twitching all day. Seems like the twitching is worse lately. Is this normal? I just started Elavil 10 mg? I am always so worried. Sorry, I just need reassurance.

Dee Dee,

My BFS started when my daughter was two but I think I had it 12 years ago with anxiety and didn't have the net to look up twitching then so it went away much quicker.

I am going on 13 months twitching and to be honest right now the only twitching I really notice are the thumpers. I get general aches and pains in my legs when I have a lot of thumpers too. I wouldn't call them hard cramps but just general aches.

Also I tend to get more thumping and twitching when it's that time of the month or if I am sick with a cold or something like that.

I totally think mine is due strictly to anxiety because I twitched 12 years ago with panic attacks and the twitching started again last year with attacks.

Have you explored the possibility of post partum depression coupled with anxiety???

Hang in there. It will get better. I know it's hard to believe right now but it will

Take care of you and the baby!
