Oldtimer Experiences Burning Feet

I am an oldtimer here. Started with twitching over 3 years ago and have been doing really well. I don't even notice the twitching anymore, it is so occasional. But, in the last 10 days I have come down with another very annoying symptom...burning feet. The sensation that my soles and toes are hot is driving me crazy. it comes and goes throughout the day and seems to be relieved by cold compresses. It is worse on the right foot than the left. Is this part of BFS or do I have something else? I am not diabetic and am not a smoker. I do have hashimotos thyroid disease and have read this can be a symptom, but I have had thyroid problemsfor almost 6 years and have never in my life experienced anything like this. Help! The only thing I can think of physically that I have done is stand on a ladder to paint our garage ceiling. Could I have pulled the tendons in the bottoms of my feet and caused this weird sensation? Do I go back to the merry go round of doctors or wait and bit and see if it subsides?

i get what I call burning sensations in my face and ears alot since all this I also have them in my feet as well sometimes I would wait and see before starting on the roller coaster again ...breath and relax there are alot of other posts on here about burning sensations as well ...so we are not alone

My feet go through spells where they feel like they are running a fever. I dont where socks anymore because of this. I used to be one of those people that never took there socks off, even in the summer, I loved my socks. Now they are my enemy.

Standing on a ladder is the WORST. That is the quickest way for me to exacerbate my BFS symptoms, because all of a sudden you are balancing on tiny little muscles in your feet and legs you might not normally be balancing on. So yeah, if you spent significant time on a ladder, and suddenly your feet are burning, I'd say that is your #1 suspect right there. Give it a week or two and see if everything calms down. I can tell you with 100% accuracy that one trip up a ladder has f---ed up my BFS symptoms on at least three occasions now. I fricking hate ladders.

Mario, thanks. Your post about the ladders did make me giggle. I have a regular doc appt. in 2 weeks for my thyroid issue, so i will try and give it that long before I totally freak. Of course I googled "burning feet" and google was not my friend... I see MS, peripheral artery disease, lupus etc. When will I ever learn? lol. The burning was bad last nite and I took a couple advil and it seems ok so far this morning. I haver had the weird BFS buzzing many times but never this burning. Again thanks to everyone who responded.

I get Bee stinging sensations. I could just be sitting still and it feels like I have been hit with a wasp. Luckily, it doesn't happened to often. I think BFS comes with all kinds of crazy symptoms because of the hyperexcited nerves.

hot feet..yes my feet are menopausal (hot flushes) on a regular basis. used to go to the bathroom and run them under the cold tap at 2am in the morning. Comes and goes, not much you can do about it. Just have to suck it up..Hey trip..my ears 'burn' as well on occasion..but I think that is for other reasons. Face does also 'flush'... but again must be male menopause..possibly...except if it was I would also lose interest in sex ( I think)......maybe.... ;) CheersRodger

It was one of my initial symptoms. My feet used to burn, and I don't mean like a hot flush, more like I was standing on a hot plate!!! It as really uncomfortable but my euro dismissed it...many times ;-P
