New Baby and BFS: Nothing to be Done?

Hi Lovely, Congrats on the new baby. That will add much stress to the situation also. All the worry that goes with protecting the little one. I went to the Neuro today. He confirmed BFS and said there is nothing to be done. Stop coffee and worry always helps. Try to tell an OCD'er to stop worrying! Huh! He is having my thyroid tested as hypothyroidism can cause twitching, but he doesn't believe this is it.
My message was to try to find out if it's a certain personality, or if meds at one point causes this. I did find a person with ALS that had antibiotics, steroids, dental work and that is exactly what happened to me. So of course I expected the worse until I found this message board. What a relief. Well, I hope your twitching minimizes! Oh, I started Vitamin B-12 (the kind under the tongue) and a B complex and they really seemed to minimize (although so did my stress at that point), but I'm willing to try anything.
Good luck, Val

My best guess in my own case is some other aspect of the fitness-oriented lifestyle: protein powder, heavy workouts, dieting, etc. Others have noticed that fitness buffs seem over-represented. Meat pie is high on the list too.

And you know, I seem to hear pregnancy a lot here ... ?

Hi Garym and Ish,
Thanks for your response. It's funny that we're all trying to find a reason for this. The antibiotic I used was either Zythromax or Amoxicillin. Also, When all this started I was exercising extensively and losing lots of weight. Has this been a common denominator for others too.
Also, what did I read about Mayo doing a study on this a few years ago?
