Fellow BFSers-I'm having a tough night and want to know if any of you can anyone relate to this. I'm getting pounded with fasciculations right now. Not twitches, fasciculations. The difference to me (again, this is just my own definitions) is that twitches are a thump, thump thump of a single muscle. Fasciculations are little pops and flickers absolutely everywhere and you can see the skin indent when they occur but they jump around. Just saw a bunch on my tongue, big ones. I rested my tongue in the bottom of my mouth and bam, lightning bolt on one side, then another right in the middle. As I sit here typing, they are absolutely everywhere. My left arm is the worst. I can't even count in a minute how many I'm feeling. I lose count after 10 seconds. Too many happening at once. This is why I have such a hard time coping. I read so many stories on here or facebook about how people are experiencing a twitch here, a twitch there, etc. Mine are so much different. They are all over, every minute. Yes, you'll hear me complain about my bicep or my thigh because those areas are hotspots and have been going for months which sucks, but this nonstop flick, pop, pop, flick, flutter, bam-bam-bam, pop in all my muscles is driving me insane. Ugh. Sorry to vent. My left bicep has been twitching for 8 straight months. It started as a big thumping twitch and then after a few weeks settled down into a very fine and rapid twitch that never ever stopped. Its going as strong as ever today but when I look at it, its not just my bicep. My upper forearm, tricep, shoulders, hand are all going. Here are some examples. Even though they were filmed at different times, they are usually ALL going at the same time (except the lip one, that was weird).I also have to apologize if I sound a bit harsh on here sometimes. Its tough to read posts where someone is worried about a twitch here or a twitch there when I never have a minute off. So its frustrating to me because I seem so much different than everyone else. My twitches are everywhere, all the time. I'm in my 4th year with BFS and this is by far the worst year yet. I've always felt like a human popcorn machine but never like this. That's why I'm surprised when someone says they have not had back twitching, or thigh twitching. Because my entire body is active all the time. There is not a muscle on my body that stays calm for more than a few mins without a fasciculation. I can't take it. If you can relate to this, please reply because I need to hear from others who's twitches are similar.-Matt
