Mysterious Twitches and Fasciculations

For nine months I have had a twitches that could be anywhere in my body, but last for just a few seconds. Its very intermittent. 5 months ago I noticed regular fasciculations in both calves. I am active and haven't noticed any strength deficits. However my right foot feels heavy sometimes and my forearms feel fatigued quicker. I had an EMG done 4-5 months ago and it was normal. I do have brisk reflexes. Today, I was told that I had 2-3 beats of clonus in my ankle that wasn't there before. I am not sure if it was bilateral. All other tests have come back ok. I am scheduled for another EMG soon. I am looking for some input or anything similar in experiences from the group. Right now I am in a very scary place mentally. Thanks

Many had 2-3 beats it's in normal range ,specially when u are brisk ! I'm brisk too md said nothing about clonus but I can sometimes induce it my self sometimes not ! My ankle will bounce up and down until I stop it ! Few here had more then just 2-3 and are ok. !

Hawk78,Your story sounds similar to mine. If you search my posts, you'll find one that I posted back in February when I had my second EMG. Like you, I am brisk (everywhere) and when tested, I had clonus when tested by my EMG specialist. I knew what it was when I saw it- I was devastated. The next day, on my follow up, my regular neuro. tested me and I was fine. As it turns out I was so nervous and terrified that my reflexes were off the charts. I am still brisk (widespread) though and nine months into this am still very concerned about what is going on with my body. My EMG was fine by the way and I am due for a follow up in September. Good luck to you hawk78- 2-3 beats on clonus is not concerning from what I understand. Peace and be strong,ristinaL91

I to have had 2 or 3 beats of clonus in ankles. My ALS specialist says it's normal when it doesn't stop or you have 5 to 10 then be concerned but remember if people are super nervous then it can high so your within normal range don't fret about it your ok. Houston

i thank all of your responses and time that you took to post them. obviously this is very hard, as many of you know. going from all clean tests to three months later having something come up. best wishes to each you
