MS Fear -- Please Help

When they look for MS using an MRI, they typically do use contrast. Having said this, twitching isn't typically an early MS symptom, and (IMHO) if your symptoms are this mild, it wouldn't be MS. MS attacks are usually pretty severe (plenty of weakness or optic nerve issues), and you don't wonder if you have them. Keep in mind that MS can be managed with medication, especially for mild cases. If you're even asking whether you have MS, your case would be very mild at best.

MS is not like ALS in many ways. MS has medication that significantly slows (or even halts) progression, and many people with MS live normal lifespans. MS also has a wide range of severities from mild to serious (there are actually several different types, which I won't list here). If you have a mild case of MS (and, yes, such a thing is possible), the near and mid-term consequences are likely to be medicating yourself (by injection, if my brothers with MS are any indication) on a daily basis.

Having said this, it doesn't sound like you have MS. If you do (and I doubt you do), your prognosis would be very positive given how little you're affected. I've seen what an MS attack does to a relatively young person in otherwise good health, and as bad as it seemed at the time, there has been no major attack since, and both of my brothers with MS have relatively normal lives (modulo medication at around $1000 per month—thank G*d for insurance).
