Tim, you mention weakness in your posts, but I assume that is perceived weakness, the feeling that your arms are weak but still being able to hold or lift things? With real 'clinical' weakness that is not possible and your EMG wouldn't be normal I think. Besides that, your doctor would notice if there was any sign of clinical weakness. When my symptoms started I too was thinking of repetitive strain injury (RSI or CANS) because I'm sitting way too long behind a computer (at the office and at home). I also have a lot of tension on my arms, shoulders and neck. I discussed this with my neuro but she didn't pay much attention to it. Just like bfs and fibromyalgia it's very difficult to diagnose as there is no specific test for it. I had a whole bucket full of symptoms, mainly in my arms. I still have bad days and flare ups but i feel much better since it all started. Since two months I'm playing (indoor) soccer again but it takes a couple of days to recover from it. But most important is we are able to play soccer, so there is nothing wrong with us, believe me, you will be okay.
