hi everyone,as some of you may know my bodywide twitches have calmed down alot, but for the past 5 weeks or so my left leg is realy bothering me.tinging, twitches and crampy pains.i dont have pains or tingling in any other body part.this realy has me worried as its also measuring 1cm smaller.seen neuro 3 weeks ago who said most likely bfs, clinical exam was normal and no need for emg.is it normal to have these symptoms in just 1 place for so long?thanks in advance

Hi grapepie, issue of natural differences was discussed here quite extensively, and if you will search, you'd find that 1 cm difference is nothing to worry. healthy person may ahe about 1 inch difference in the circumpherence of limbs, for legs even more as far as I understand, especially between active and passive one.yes for bfs it is normal to have pains and cramps, especially in the legs, and usually it comes after calming of bodywide twitches (at least my own experience is such). I have even cramps in hands, arms and upper chest and lower ribs muscles (in my very bad days).

thanks yulia, you are great as always with your reply..you say crampy pains are common with bfs but i only have them in my left calve..other people talk about migrating pain where mine is very localised. :( im still so worried even though ive been to 2 neuro's who say bfs.im due back to work next week after a long stent of maternity leave and i dont know how im going to cope with this constantly on my mind!

job will add a stress but it also would be a distraction for sure.prepare some chances to have a rest and do not worry about localised pains - mine from cramps are also localised. Therer is difference beweeen spreaded fibromyalgia and pain casued by cramps.
