Leaving Forum: Overcoming Fear

After careful consideration I have decided to leave the forum. I beleive it is in the best interest of myself and my family. for me I got over the fear of ALs some time ago, but I think reading all the stories about everyone afraid of what might happen keeps me in a paranoid state on some level. I have begun fearing what will happen to loved ones. I believe this is because I am on here and can't get away from that mentality. I wish you all well. I do not plan to come back. thank you to everyone who supported me!Don

Don good luck and I wish you a long happy life. I understand your reason for leaving here and agree with it completely. If anything on here causes you to be paranoid and you have gotten over your initial fears than it is time to leave and live your life. Mary :D)

I completely understand. I came for help almost 6 years ago, and after realizing I was fine I had to stay away from the forums. Even though I knew I didn't have ALS my anxiety gave me trouble when reading everyone's problems. Goodbye, and enjoy life!

But you are back johnny, why is that? I like that you are here though. You give great advice. I would say you are tough love, but in a really nice way. I enjoy reading your encouragement to people. Hope you don't leave, but it's understandable that anyone might need to at some point to combat their anxiety.Tanya

Good luck Don...I think this is a good move. You know where we are if you need to visit... but we all need to move on when we feel it is right...part of the 'healing' process. Thankyou for your input over the last 9 months. Sharing BFS 'experiences' are vital in any 'recovery'- so thankyou for thatcheersRodger

I think it's a good idea, I have been just coming in and reading a few posts every other day or once a week and I have felt alot better. They are several veterens that have posted and said it is good to move on and come back after you have got a hold on this syndrome, and they could not be more right. I have even stopped hanging around the anxiety sites everyday. Good for you, and I hope it helps you to move on. :D) God BlessRandy
