Jaw pain is not something I would worry about in terms of a neuromuscular disease. It is probably 99.9% associated with TMJ, teeth grinding at night, and tensing the jaw because of anxiety. Many BFS suffers on this board have reported feeling tongue twitching (don't confuse this with tongue movements when sticking out the tongue as this is totally normal). Search the board and you will see lots of posts. As far as not knowing if the feeling is really something happening or not, I thought maybe I was over focusing on sensations at first and that was all it was with me. But over time it happened on a daily basis and was at times intense enough and long enough for me to realize it was indeed a symptom connected to all the other twitching that came on around the same time. Sorry this is not more reassuring since you just have to let time pass and see if things become more clear. In my opinion, if you are not sure something is happening don't think it is until you are sure. If it is happening, you will know soon enough. Also even if you have the tongue symptom it is part of the BFS syndrome (see the BFS article on this site) and other treatable or nondisabling neuroapthies as my doctor tells me.Krackersones
