HeyI have a weird soreness/aches in my jaw for 1-2 weeks now. I hate this it's non-stop. Of course no weakness, no troubles for eating or speaking. The pain is light but I cannot focus on something else. Hope this will leave someday!Anyone had this before?

I didn't have jaw pain in particular but I do get all sorts of odd type aches and pains in the legs, arms, neck and back. I think what you describe is a very non-specific symptom and and be caused by a large number of reasons. If you don't have any weakness, speech or swallowing problems I would not give it a second thought. It's probably not even realted to BFS let alone something more serious. CheersAnita

yes i had it a week ago actually. came on rapidly...jaw HURT for 3-4 hours badly then it subsided to kind of a muscle ache feeling. Have had the same scenario repeat in my knees, groin, glutes, forearms....in each scenario I can't identify a muscle to massage or stretch....keeps making me think its the nerves inflamed.

Maybe there is some inflammation going on, maybe you were under big stress and that causes pain? Maybe your clinching your teeth at night. There can be many reasons.

Hi,I have jaw pain which radiates to my teeth. I also occasionally nip my tongue when talking, like one to two times a day. I also have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and think that there are some symptoms of bfs and Fibromyalgia that are similiar. Also, my Neuro, a neuromuscular specialist, at a major medical center said bitiNg my tongue was nothing. He only wants to see me if I develop weakness, swallowing, etc. which wasnt to reassuring. Hope this helps. How is your jaw pain.

Many Twitchers get phases of jaw soreness, stiffness amd sometimes even a weak feeling (no clinical weakness though) in jaw and tongue. In BFS, any muscle cat twitch and any muscle can get sore. So soreness BFS really seems to like the calves, the shoulders/arms/hands and the jaw.

Chrissi,You made my day. I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I have had some weird pain near my thumb in my left hand, that is giving me the whole "perceived weakness" feeling (and of course, this is my left hand, which is naturally weaker than my right) and it has been freaking me out. And, of course, I had a big moment of thumb and finger twitching on the same hand yesterday that threw me for a loop and made my heart rate rise a little! You would think 20 months into this, I would be calmer when I encounter new symptoms. But, I was very happy to hear that you included hand in your areas of "soreness".Mitra

Well my hands were a a big issue for me. I had a lot of pain in my thumb padding and also in the area under my pinky. But I also had tons of jaw soreness and stiffness. BFS is such a nuisance.
