Help Needed With Recent Symptom

Hi everyone - I need some help with a symptom that I have noticed for the past month. I came down with a sore throat/cold and after that noticed that I stumbled when I speak. It's seems like I can't pronunciate very well especially my "r's" and "ch" words or my tongue feels like it gets in the way when I'm talking?? I have had BFS for 1 year and 1 month. I have good days and bad. I have been to 2 neuro's, which both diagnosed me with BFS. I had one EMG done which was good. It seems like I'll do good for quite awhile and then I'll notice a new symptom. If anyone has some advise it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have gone through several periods where my speech seemed to be affected. With any new symptom there usually comes new anxiety. But with your clean emg and 2 neuro's opinions I would take courage.

I am twitching for almost 2,5 years and have the last months problems with speech (like my tongue is lazy..) I am worried about that, but I also know that I have had this symptom when I was 1 year twitching. It went away, but only after a few months. Also I am twitching in my throat/neck.
It is difficult but have faith.

I have complained about this for years. Only I notice it, nobody else can tell. I actually say words wrong all the time, get my words mixed up. I actually bite my tongue sometimes when I talk. Darn thing is ALWAYS in the way. LOL

Amy,

I had this for several months. It was frustrating. It has gone away. I do get tightness in my throat however.

When I am really stressed I get facial tightness and tingling that is most annoying. However, like many symptoms it is here today, gone tomorrow, back again in 2 weeks.

I have been twitching (at least that I know of) for 4 months now.

Does anyone have nose twitching????

Peter

BMWMAN YES, I get nose twitching all the time, its either the tip of my nose or the nostrils, I feel like the witch on bewitched when I do this.

EVERY single time I get a sinus infection (which is often these days - I have awful sinuses), I get this just preceding it, and it lasts anywhere from a few hours to weeks. Not long after, I can count on the goopy, yellow/green stuff (yuck) and the dizziness/neck tightness/tinnitus. Interestingly, the twitches die down a little during the speech/tongue stuff, but can be counted on in force not long after. This is one of many possible connected causes mind you, but I get the exact same thing - like Mr. Tongue has become Mr. Floppy or Mr. Lazy.

Whatever the cause, it comes AND GOES without incident. Always. You are fine. No worries.
