Have You Experienced These Symptoms?

Just wondering if anyone has these symptoms....
Very healthy until 6 years ago...brother passed away from cancer...on came panic and anxiety attacks...2 years later came severe IBS...then 2 years later came the twitching all over.
Now I know I have severe generalized anxiety, and my husband says all of my symptoms are in my head, but I don't, of course.
I have twitching all over, localized tingling, sometiimes I feel like I have chills down my left leg, tightness deep in my left ear, and it seems everything happens on the left side which freaks me out. Not to mention tiredness, frequent irritability..etc....
I had EMG, EEG, cat scan of brain all to come back clean. The only negative was my reflexes when tested he said they could've been that way since birth.
Sometimes I just feel plain crazy. I'm 30 and female.
Any suggestions?
I'm so afraid its MS .

I am right with you except my right side is the mess.:) I had a sinus CT scan yesterday but I think I might have migraines...my right arm gets cold during my headaches and then mysteriously gets better after the right sided head pain that I thought was sinus...I see another doc tomorrow.:(

A CAT scan and MRI are two totally different things. An MRI is the gold seal for MS, infact if you don’t have at least three signs of demylenation on an MRI you CAN NOT be diagnosed with MS (If I remember correctly).

CT (CAT) scans can be used to support an MS diagnoses but a properly weighted MRI is the best. Your description of your “CAT scan” sounds more like you had an MRI. I’ve had both CT and MRI and I didn’t “go in the tunnel” with all the loud clicking with a CT that I did with an MRI.

Also your age makes it very unlikely to be dx’ed with MS or ALS. I’m only 32 and I’ve been twitching for 15-17 years in my calfs 24/7. I’m sure I don’t have ALS / MS but rather a post-viral case of BFS.

Like I said, the presence of anxiety supports BFS not MS or ALS.

I haven’t let it slow me down any, since I’ve began to manage my anxiety, but I do experience the annoying twitching. – man it drives me bonkers sometimes.

Glad I could help :)

Do you experience dizzy spells, heart palpitations, or shortness of breath?
