Finding Relief with BFS

First of all, I just want to say how happy I was to find this website. I haven't been diagnosed with anything yet but feel confident that I have BFS. I've had a few months of worrying about ALS but don't show any other symptoms associated with that disease (atrophy, weakness). I am 38 and have been experiencing twitches all over for about 4-5 months. I have had shakiness in my muscles for as long as I can remember...early 20s for sure. Some days are worse than others...some days hardly at all. My question is that all though I can get fatigued easily at times, I have started exercising regularly for about 2 months (jogging, lifting weights) and have no problems doing this. I mainly started this to prove to myself that I wasn't getting weak...stupid huh. I have read that some have exercise intolerance. Is anyone else able to exercise okay without any major problems?

When all this started (oct-nov 03) I had exercise intolerance. However, over the past month or so, I have gained endurance back. Actually, my GP said overtraining was probably what triggered all this with, of course, stress.

Exercise brings out the fasciculations. No one can explain it, other than an irritation to the muscle/nerves perhaps, or electrolyte Na, K, Ca, Mg irregularities at the cellular level.

I too have full body fasci, and they come and go, but 24/7 iin the calfs. No weakness/atrophy, cramps at time.

Good Luck.... :)
