Feeling Numbness in Calf and Sole

When I rub or touch one point on my calf (8cm above ankle), my sole gets numb while touching. It is just like when you knock your elbow your hand gets numb. I recent observe this wired touch induced numbness on my left feet. If I rub this point, I can feel some band like structure within. Maybe it's nerve. But my right side of body are not so sensitive. Does anyone have similar experience?

Had something like this on my fingertips once about a year ago. Whenever I touched something with my right thumb and indexfinger those tips tingeled and got numb for up to a minute. Was before twitching started. Went away after a week or two. Never made me think of anything bad.Greetings,LevenLevi

I have buzzing (not numbness) induced in my lower leg while rubbing my, well, upper tighs on left side, maybe this will hepl to make you easier about the fact that some points of body are related to each other via sensory neurons.I doubt you can feel the nerve (usually nerves could be palpated in case of severe nerve inflammation (I read that in case of leper sometimes nerves could be palpated but this is extreme case of course), as far as I know, and most possibly you feel the ligament or muscle bundle). Moreover, manipulation with big nerves usually causes quite a pain (one can check it with the elbow nerve) rather than numbness.
