Facing Fear of Unknown Tongue Spot

I really thought I was over this fear..but I am not. Today I just checked my tongue and noted focal flickering of one spot on the edge in the middle of the tongue...on the side that is a bit less meaty and slightly more dimpled (or how to say it). My heart started racing, anxiety went through the roof..this just sucks

Docen,I get those types of twitches all the time and my tongue also appears to be dimpled on one side... to me. However, this is normal. Most people get these types of twitches on their tongues but they dont notice them because as you said, you can't feel them. Please be assured that these are not worrisome. I spoke to Mayo about this. Are you speaking OK? Eating OK? If so, you can stop checking your tongue in the mirror. -Matt
