Facial twitches can be very irritating. I am 13 months into this and for the past month I have had a very constant irritating twitch in my right cheek. As matter of fact, I just reached out to someone for some help concerning this particular one. I have also had the eye/ lip twitches as well. If you use the search function on the top right, type in "facial twitching," you'll be amazed at how many posts come up. It is VERY common and I'm certain you'll see countless folks with similar symptoms. I know from experience how easy it is to get worried about each "new" twitch/ sensation that pops up. Have you ever bit your tongue before? Of course you have, you're just now hyper aware of it and worry because of your fears. It is extremely common to bite your cheeks/ tongue when anxious and stressed out. This includes anxiety that is hidden beneath the surface. I have woken up numerous nights realzing that I was biting my tongue (that has since passed). My wife has told me that she has been biting her cheeks for as long as she can remember. Those 2 things in of themselves are common to anyone. I haven't read (nor will I go looking) for "stories" of ALS starting that way. But I'm fairly certain that bulpar does not present that way.
