EMG Results: No Abnormalities Found

Hi all,Both portions of the EMG were fine...the fellow did the nerve conduction part, then my doc came in and did needle part. He only did the atrophied calf and foot, and the calf on the other leg. Nothing was found at all. It was perfectly quiet. He said if atrophy was from *** it would have shown up. He thinks atrophy is from that disc issue, even though I am not showing any nerve problems....He wants me to come back in February and he will decide whether or not to re do the MRI of my back...I wished I would have asked him to do jaw again, and the right thigh which twitches a lot, but I was so happy that atrophied leg showed nothing I just wanted to get out of there...While I was waiting I re read every single word you all have written me..it was of great comfort, and although I was there alone, I knew I wasn't alone thanks to all of you...and especially Robynn, who is always there for me...Many thanks...Victoria(Jimb take note, atrophy is not always ***)

Excellent! Thank you for sharing the great news! I am so happy that your twitches are benign, but sorry that you have them. I hope your atrophy gets resolved, stops, soon, but is great news that its not ALS.

Hi all,I have been trying to play catch up with my work today. I have been exhausted by all of this. I am experiencing a lot of jaw tremors, and tongue fasics, and of course I am wishing I made him check my tongue...but he did this summer when i was having teh same symptoms and it was fine...I know it is from the high level of stress I have been under...I am hoping to try to relax this weekend...but I have a house full of company coming on Sunday, and my boyfriend and I will be cooking a traditional Thanksgiving feast...Thanks so much again for all the good wishes...Please do not hestiate to PM me, if you need my support or assistance...I am here for you all too.Best,Victoria
