Do You Experience Twitching and Pain?

Dies anyone seem to follow this pattern? My twitching lately has been considerably less, maybe only a dozen or so a day, but I'm getting all types of weird pain. Today both legs just ache, fingers hurt, toes, neck. It's weird... Anyone?

Violetmom-I am also new here but have had on and off symptoms for almost 12 years. I am currently experiencing your EXACT issues. Major muscle twitching has subsided (although is not gone, just less), and I have pain in both legs. I have also woken up for several mornings with stiff fingers and my knee joints get stiff if sitting too long. Today I have noticed neck pain/upper back as well but wasn't sure if I just slept wrong. I am new to the diagnosis of BFS (just got it on Monday after my 4th neuro visit over the 12 years). This neuro also mentioned Fibromyalgia at one point but after all tests were said and done, he said it was BFS.....he told me to get out there and live my life, eliminating stress. He didn't want to jump into meds since my pattern has always been on again/off again (although this has been a long couple of months). I'm trying to relax/rest but keeping up with my 3 kiddos sometimes makes that a challenge :)

A bit of Latin: Fybro means thread (muscle thread), myo means muscle, algo means pain, so fibromyalgia means 'pain in muscular threads'.Violet, I can tell on the basis of own experience that fibromyalgia really can manifest as pains everywhere, sometimes to the extent you can not touch the skin without a strong word. Sometimes it feels like you have got a muscular inflammation in the part of oyur body, like in flu, but without flu of course.I usually put spiritous iodine solution on the affected part. Iodine acts ad local irritative and being absorbed through skin - as anti-inflammatory agent/ Usually it distracts me and helps. Pain may last for several days, then either migrates or wanes till the next flareup.

For me pain and sensory issues were always much more present than twitching.I had it for many months, but in time the worst symptoms subsided and it went better with me although I still have flare ups. (I think I always will but it's just bfs) Try to stay positive and trust me that in time you will be ok.

Unfortunately I've had a lot of general joint/tendon related pain for about 10 years now, so it's difficult to say for sure, but I would say pain and muscle cramping is my biggest annoyance on day to day basis now. I'm a male but I have had a doctor suggest I may have Fibro. This type of thing seems to be somewhat common among BFSers. I also have hyperflexibility and that seems to be common as well.
