Constant Twitch in Top Left Hand

For the last 4 days I am experiencing a twitch in the top of my left hand that is constant, fast (few per sec) and literally moves my middle finger towards the index. I can see it and feel it of course. I'm freaking out again. Can such a bad looking twitch be benign?I stil have the constant twitching in both calves and my left knee, just had single one in my right shoulder... :(I'm having ulnar issues in my left elbow. My ring and pinky fingers are numb and painful for at least half an year. All my left hand fingers are always stiff in the morning. I just googled that the muscle that twitches (2nd interosseous?) is innervated by the ulnar nerve. Can My ulnar problems be related? Please help, I feel like I'm losing the battle...Sorry to be so pessimistic, but can't cope it any more...Andy

We have severle muscle of the hand ( why would they not twitch ??).Few days ago I had same twitch it lasted all day and gave me a uncomfortable feeling I saw it, started in left hand hours later was in both .... Went away I'm a hand twitcher , had those that moved fingers my thumb was crazy some time ago I had a electric twitch in my forearm that moved my thumb( it even hurt ) Lasted about week went away ! The best thing to do is work on your anxiety it is the best medication for this condotion!! I stopped worrying my pain went away , tremors and twitches are almost gone .... Hope you feel better Joanna

Don`t worry .... I had my thumb move for months and months on its own, like a pulse up and down when I relaxed my hand... That was 10 years ago... every now and then I get another flare up... 4 years ago it was my chin (lasted a few months i think) 2 months ago it was my eye for 2 weeks and now its my tongue tip (7 weeks) and a really steady slow muscle twitch or contraction on my right tricep just above my elbow and that`s been every few seconds for 8-9 days I think... some times its big and sometimes its so small I can hardly see it.. oh and while all that`s going on I have body wide random ones too all over.. head to toe...

You are describing cubital tunnel syndrome. Tap on your ulnar nerve (where your funny bone is) and see if it tingles or sends shocks down your arm.You are not describing anything sinister.

Had twitches in my forearm that would make all my fingers move at times. Other times in the hand and only my index finger or thumb would show a tremor. Haven't had it in months. Now I almost miss it cuz it was sort of cool. Mark

Thank you for your comments and reassuring words. It has been off for several hours yesterday, and I felt so relieved but now it's back. Really didn't miss that $h%t...As for the cubital tunnel - probably yes - I don't have to tap very hard my left elbow, just gently and I get the electric feeling in my left pinky and ring fingers.I had NCV study 2 months ago and it showed improvement in the elbow compared to Dec 2012. But I don't feel any better, and now this twitch...Thanks,Andy

Man, nearly exactly year ago, I had the same problem (just one muscle next to yours). It lasted for a few weeks:Check the date, year ago...and guess what, it is gone and I do not have any problems with my hand ;)PS: Tunnel syndromes generally do not cause fasciculations (would be pretty rare - it is distal lesion), what you have is just BFS!

TwitchyMD, thanks for your comment.I actually saw your post before posting my own and found it quite similar to what's happening to me.Hope it will disappear like yours, but it's still going and I cannot concentrate on anything (like typing or even sitting still) because it's so unnerving...
