Constant Strain While Standing/Walking?

Does anyone else experience constant strain while standing and walking? Feet and calves are the worst. I have been diagnosed with bfs/bcfs multiple times but my symptoms don't seem to fit......or do they? Please respond.....

Yup! I even posted a thread regarding this! I have a strained leg. Lol but just my right leg! I hate it, always tests my sanity... Very strained & tires easily.

The reason no one replied to this is because I imagine everyone shares this. That's kinda what BFS is. You feel sore and achy and your legs feel tired for no reason. And if we were upside down and we walked on our hands, I imagine our arms would feel like this. Again, just BFS. Not any different than anyone else here.

I walk 30 minutes and my feet hurt me for days (more than usual) and my calves are like I was on a Mount Everest (ok, a little exxageration) ;.) , for no reason (it was a 30 minute walk). I think this is called excersise intolerance in BFS.

I dont feel strain to stand or walk - ironically i feel like i can't keep my legs still when at REST. And more concerning to me is that my legs feel HEAVY, stiff and just full of tension if i don't move them. It's like they just can't relax. I had one leg propped up on the other today and my thighs were SHAKING. Actually tremoring. I'm convinced its a warning sign to MS or early onset Parkinson's. I have a lot of sensory issues, as well as vertigo and the widespread fasiculations with continuous tongue twitching. I have yet to see neuro but im pretty sure the symptoms all seem to tick the MS/Motor Neuron disease/PD box. Now the spacisicity on top of it. Just when I think i can deal with the twitching, a new thing crops up. I'm just waiting for the leg muscles to start wasting before I fully hop on the A L S express. Ugh. Anyone with some words of comfort?

Miela, who says you have spasticity? What you have described is nothing like spasticity or MND. Although I can not identify with this original post, I have heard many many people describe a strained feeling while trying to stand or walk. Our muscles are irritated. I think there is a whole spectrum of BFS. For me, its an immense amount of twitching, all day everyday including my tongue but not much sensory, pain or muscle fatigue. The one symptom we all share is the twitching. But like I said, those things are widely reported on here.-Matt

My most uncomfortable symptom isnt my twitching / spasms. Its trying to walk on my left foot. I can sit all day and feel zero symptoms related to this. But one trip to the store and after 15 minutes my foot feels like its burning up, swollen, and icy cold ... all at the same time. With the most predominant sensation of "swelling" and heat. Its extremely uncomfortable, and walking makes it worse.Standing at the checkout line for only 60 seconds gave me near instant relief ... and i ws good again, until i reached my car when I was feeling the burn/freezing cold / ache again.*beep* me off honestly. Im not 86 years old. But i feel like it when that happens. Im not really clear why the above person doesn't have Spasicity. I know that what I have is very much like it. An extremely tight, rigid left calf. Its not exhaustion from twitching. Its a knotted up feeling in the muscle that only periodically relaxes. I believe that is spasicity, but given I've been experiencing this stuff for a month and my MRI is clean, i'll just assume BFS'ers can also get spasicity. Not just MSers.

Thanks for the responses. So........Does anyone else experience constant strain standing or walking? Is this consistent with bfs?Seems like everyone else experiences "come and go" syptoms. This has been steady and progressive for about 22-23 months? BFS/BCFS or not BFS/BCFS? It would really be helpful to know I'm not alone with these constant strained weakness symptoms.
