Concerning Symptoms: Twitching & Memory

I hesitated to post this question because I try and keep positive on this Board, but my symptoms have been very exaggerated over the past couple of weeks - the twitching is EVERYWHERE, my lips, cheeks, all parts of my legs...... and I believe I am having slight memory problems and it is really scaring/concerning me. Things like:

- forgetting a train of thought in mid-conversation/sentence
- walking into a part of the house and then trying to remember what I
went there for
- calling each of my daughters by the other's name
- someone will talk about something that happened some time ago and
thinks I should remember, but I don't

I try and keep telling myself I am well, my tests all came back normal, but this is scaring me. I start thinking about things like Alzheimers and Huntingtons and different diseases? Geez, I am only 41 (well, I'll be 42 end of this month).

Anyone else experience anything like this, or should I be really concerned? I appreciate your input!!!

I'm afraid you can count me in too...I have some days that are worse than others. It is a definite inability to concentrate at times. I was attributing this to "menopause". I don't know if that's it or not, but I agree it can be scarey. As far as memory is concerned, mine isn't so good, and never really has been, I have taken to writing things down more now, so I won't forget. But when it comes to trying to recall what that movie was about,, you know the one we saw last week.....uhhh yeah, sure I remember that. I think sometimes it's just that our circuits are overloaded, and our brains have to put a lot of unimportant data into the recycle bin.

Hi Sharon, Yes you just described me to a T. I do know that stress
has some to do with it because when my husband takes the kids to
his parents for the weekend which is not very often but when he does
my memory seems to improve. I get chills from the stress relief its
like my body is saying aww what a relief. Hang in there, I know you
have stress you have children and even if you didnt have kids all
the things that people load their minds with just in everyday chores
jobs ect. your mind is running 500mph its hard to have a relaxed mind
these days now imagine if you were a millionare and you could hire a
nanny to help out and a maid to do the cleaning and a chef to be your
cook and a financial adviser to take care of the rest and all you had to do
was live life easy. your mind would be in much better shape and you
probably wouldnt have BFS either and if you did it probably wouldnt be
as bad. I dont know about the meno thing but there is alot of ladies
that complain about their memory so Im sure its got some to do with it.
I dont think you have anything wrong with you just a overloaded mind
relax its gonna be ok. I am 33 soon to be 34 in December and I have a
real bad memory for instance my best friend and I were taking our kids
tricker treating and I was in a panic because they were taking off walking
leaving me behind I was holding them up because I couldnt remeber where I put my kids buckets my friend says to me what are you doing I
told her I cant find their buckets she said what the hell is wrong with you
there on your arm have you lost it  Then after we were back and
we got ready to leave I was panicking because I couldnt find my purse
she said its on your shoulder do you want me to drive you home because
you have me scared. See what stress does it kills your mind. I cant stay
focused on anything I will be talking and forget have way through what I
was saying because my mind starts thinking about something else before
I finished. anyway I know just how you feel but it will be alright I think
we have to much to think about and not enough brain storage.

I also have memory issues. I don't know if they are BFS related, except that I know that lack of sleep and stress make it worse. I have a habit of either forgetting words or using the wrong word... The other day I told my daughter to go put on her blue shoes, even though her shoes are pink... I also told my older boys to put their dishes in the refrigerator instead of the dishwasher... Both times I was in a hurry and distracted. I also give presentations in front of small groups and will occasionally totally forget what point I was trying to make as I'm rambling away... Again, this usually happens because I was thinking ahead and not paying enough attention to what I was actually saying... I think that a lot of it for me is that I'm 44 years old, have 3 kids, a husband, a house, a dog, a cat, a hamster, 7 budgies, assorted fish, work two jobs, am a Girl Scout leader, have anxiety and BFS... In other words, That's Life :)
