Hey all, As you know this month I've been twitching a year- Well I have had chronic sinus issues to my surprise for awhile now according to my physician yesterday it was a bad infection that I have let go because I dont ALWAYS feel it. Well he started me on Z pack and since the first dose I have NOT twitched- I quit last night around 9 about 3 hours after the first dose and at 10 25a.m. still nothing .. I am trying not to FOCUS on it and look for them but I surely never miss them when they thump thump thump- Anyhow- I just thought I would share that- Who know's. I may be back in a hour saying "APRIL FOOLS " ;) but seriously since the z pack I have not twitched- I know alot of sinus issues are auto immune- so could it be my sinuses compressing on nerves making me twitch esp in my facial area? I'll keep posted.Bye for now.Lovely

Hmm I have chronic sinus (if this means in english the same as here - infection of inner nasal areas) for many years..what is Z pack?

Yes that would be the same. Its your sinus cavity, nasal area- causes headaches, all kinds of discomforts. Dizziness, blurred vision, floaters (the little black things that look like gnats that float in your your periphial view). Zpack is a wide spectrum antibiotic (very strong). I still havent twitched since I've posted and I've been just laying on the couch recovering from my stomach virus and the sinus issues.I looked on line as well as asked the ENT doctor and sinusitis can be auti immune related. Its worth a look into- I wouldn't put money on it- today just could be a miracle day but I find it odd. Its 12 07pm and I am about to take my second dose now.Wish me luck,Lovely

Hey all thought I'd post before I settled down for the night...My twitching is still dininished- I had one "bubble" like feeling in my wrist area (I dont even think there is a muscle there) andt then I had one pop corn twitch on my back- I am about to take my 3rd dose at midnight- The way z pack works is you start with two, then one pill, then one, then one etc. Then the antibiotic stays in your system and keeps working awhile.Again, this could be TOTAL coincidental- but as my sinuses are feeling better so to are my twitches.Lovely ;) I'll post back tomorrow.

You know i was thinking about how you mentioned auto-immune (dee dee)...when this stuff first began, i had many symptom- free days my first month. my symptoms would come and go every few days. the doc put me on a medrol dose pack (6 days) a she thought it was allergic reaction to something. i took the dose pack and on the 6th day my symptoms left for 2 and a half weeks! then they came back. i tried prednisone for about a week and it did not work, just made me crazy. i tried the medrol dose pack again a couple of months later and it also did not work...not sure if that first run was a coincidence but i've been thinking about it ever since.....i already have psoriasis in my scalp (which is autoimmune) so i wouldn't be surpised if this stuff was auto-immune related....in fact that was the first thing my neuro mentioned when he was talking about the various causes of BFS....
