hey fellow bfs'ers, As some of you know im into year 3 of this.....and after having twitches and spasms in every conceivable part of my body, just last night as I was laying in bed to go to sleep..i felt this twitching on my chin...right in the cleft part....took some Ativan to got to sleep...but today its been there all day. Twitching away.....I can see when I look closely at it twitching...but probably to small for others to see. But for some one who has twitched everywhere, I think this facial twitching has got to be the most annoying and stressful. Just feeling the constant twitching on my chin...I relate it to Chinese water torture.....the drip..drip...drip...drip...its the absolute worst!!!Anyone else think the facial twitching has got to be the worst?? I pray this one goes away soon, as this new twitch just might be the most annoying ive had in over 3 years of this fuc*&^%$ bfs stuff. All replies will be greatly welcomed.Danny

Oh yes the facial twitching is terrible. After weeks or even months of a facial hotspot (that was even clearly visibe) I seriously thought about getting it botoxed, Then I thought I might look rather stupid and asymmetrical if I get only one part of my face botoxed and just hoped it would face away. Which it did. But so far I have never heard of the chin twitch (which is SOOOOO annoying!!!) lasting over months, so hopefully it will go away soon...

OMG, yes - I had an under-eye (not eyelid) twitch two weeks ago, that went constantly and didn't stop. I mean didn't stop for one second. It went on multiple times per second without stopping for two straight days. I told my husband the same thing, that it was as bad as Chinese Water Torture. It was so psychologically awful for me, to not get a second's break, and to wake up and see it in the mirror going at it again. And boom, it just stopped. The weirdest hot spot I have had yet.

Yes, after 4 months of twitching I never had a facial twitch. Then, on the same morning I had my first EMG I awoke to a persistent twitch in my chin and jaw muscle that continued every day for over a month. Up to then all of my twitching up to that point was random, but the facial twitch was present every single day for over a month which scared me and started a whole round of bulbar ALS fears. Then, just within the last few days it has stopped. I am also having tired, stiff and sore jaw muscles which is probably due to teeth grinding and stress. The face is the most annoying place to twitch.
