Calf Twitching - Is it BFS or ALS?

I've had some serious twitching in my calves, as well as some random scatterings of twitches elsewhere (shoulders, thighs, abdomen, lats, etc...) but no sensory signs at all that I can recall. No numbness. No 'pins and needles.' Nothing like that at all.

I've read that BFS has those types of sensations, and ALS does not. Now I've gotten myself scared that the lack of sensory signs means I have ALS. Has anyone who's been diagnosed with BFS had a lack of sensory signs?

I see my neurologist in two weeks, but I'm not sure I can make it that long without freaking out.

I have not had pins and needles or many of the other issues described. FYI, I had had two neuro exams, a brain MRI and an EMG/NCS. All OK
except for benign fasiculations on the EMG. Hope this helps

Whew.

This website has been a freaking lifesaver for me. I try not to come on here with each and every freakout I have, but it's nice to know there are so many people out there going through similar things.

Thanks again everybody.

I have no numbness, pins and needles either=no voodoo doll of me being poked

I have the water trickling down the leg feeling also. Me and uber seem to be the only ones to have this.

I have had that exact thing. The odd thing is it usually happens to me on an extremely hot day (I live in Phoenix). It feels like water splashing. First couple of times I brushed on my legs to feel for water.

The weird thing is, I had this happen to me probably a year or two ago, long before all my all sx started. I never thought too much about it (other than it was odd). I chalked it up to the intense AZ heat.
