BFS Sufferers: Internal Tremors

Hello. I was wondering if any of you bfs sufferer's get internal tremors very often? If so have you tried anything to treat them that has worked? I have felt so shaky the last few days along with a lot of buzzing, twitching and a new twitch in my lip!

Oh yeah almost every day. The only thing you can really do is try to relax your body. Heating pads, hot baths, yoga, meditation, more sleep, etc. Sometimes I can make them go away entirely, sometimes the tremors will be bad for a while. It's all cyclical, based on your current stress/sleep/panic/general activity level.

MonicaI get this too, I also find the only way to get rid of it is to rest. The very worst is if I get woken from a deep sleep in the early hours (ie by my son coming in from a night out on the tiles aarrgghh  It's so annoying & I'm like a jittering wreck).I sometimes get it while at work and have to carry on, even though I feel like slumping over the desk, hence the reason I have cut my work days down to 3. So I usually end up doing my days, by which time i'm absolutely exhausted, I always have a bit of a lazy morning the day following and usually a few hours to put my feet up the afternoon of the day following too. As for my own pleasure time I just put my feet up if I feel like that, which usually means that something I planned has gone to pot. If you find any meds to take this away please let me know. I currently take lyrica which stops the nasty swallowing probs & i'm sure it does other good things too, but to be honest it's only the really irritating things, such as the swallowing that I notice have disappeared with it. How are your B12 levels? Mine have been borderline for a while, something like 370. That can cause neuro problems too, but in the UK it depends who your GP is on whether they'll give you B12 injections at 370, other countries that would be classed as low and you'd get the injections. I eat well though & doubt it is that but you do have to wonder sometimes!Nevermind, just enjoy the rest when you have to :D)

Search the site for internal tremors... it has been discussed a lot. I believe the internal tremor you are feeling is secondary to anxiety. I have bfs with all it's wonderful symptoms... the internal tremor went away when I learned to manage my anxiety about my health.. yours will too.chip
