In 3 weeks time I had 2 night cramps, never had thatnow for the past 4 days every time I wake up and get out of bed my legs feel very tight and are cramping (knife pains) continuously. So get out of bad and the first hour they are really stiff - thight. With every step I take I feel a cramping knife pain in my calves. Can this still be BCFS? this bad? I'm very scared , it seems like my symptoms are progressing.

LostBoy - of course you are ok: you have got cramps and fasciculation which is why your condition is called benign cramp fasciculation synrdome. It will flare up from time to time and this is no doubt the cause of your current symptoms. Your fear and worry is only making things worse. You have no weakness, you have been checked by a specialist - why are you still worrying?RegardsSimon

do you also get cramps (little cramps) in other places like arms and hands? Is it more bad to have cramps in more body partsanother question, since a couple of months I got a bad tremor in left hand and when I get a little nerveous it starts shaking very badly, is this part of *** ?

I get those crampy like feelings every single day mostly in my feet but also in my hands and calves. I also occassionally get full cramps. the neuro thought nothing of it. I insisted on a second emg which was fine. I didn't notice, but my neuro noticed a slight tremor in my right hand, he was unconcerned about this and told me I did not need a follow up.

thanks! But I got so much stuff going on that I can't except this is benign- dent in hand - atrophy, (no weakness- neuro doesn't think it's atrophy but admits it looks weird)- constant - and I mean every second- fascics in space between thumb and index, but very small ones, don't move my fingers, but are always there (almost for 4 months straight !!! )- (WHO HAS THIS), this is my main concern, can't be normal right?- crampy feeling in feet and legs- couple of real cramps in legs- tremor in left hand and arm, sometimes very badly- constant twitching in both calves - hoarse voice on and off- very brisk reflexes, some beats of clonus :( Doesn't sound good does it?Clincially neuro thinks I'm fine but no new emg done, only emg done 2.7 years ago (and only saw fascics) I really am an exception I think...

Lostboy--I don't understand why you listen to the bad stuff but not the good. You've had dozens of people say that you're fine and it sounds like you just have BFCS, but you grasp on to any tiny thing that could justify your fears. Imagine if it were the other way around: all the doctors and folks you spoke to said "yup, sure sounds like ALS!" and you had to scour the internet to find hope that it wasn't?? You're doing things a$$ backwards.
