Anxiety-Related Twitching Concerns

I haven't been on a long while and I am not worried about my twitching but since I know for a 100% fact that mine is from anxiety I have a brand new sensation I would like to ask you guys about. Recently I had an abnormal EKG and I was put through cardiolite stress test, echo and holter monitor. All my test came back fine and they think my panic attack that I had due to increased work stress caused the abnormal EKG due to tachycardia. I now only twitch during PMS and it does not concern me at all. But now I have this weird feeling in my throat. Most describe as a lump in the throat but this is more of a sensation that my throat is strained from screaming for hours on end and sometimes I have weird shooting pains where my adam's apple is. I have no heart burn or none that I can tell of. It's not a sore throat either just feels strained and tight but not really like a lump. I have never had the globus sensation with all my years of anxiety but I just thought I would jump on here and ask if any of you with it have the strained and tightness too when you have the lump sensation even though I don't have that. My swallowing is fine. I just feel like I have laryngitis but have no hoarseness. Sorry to be so totally off topic but thought maybe someone could help. I have tones of muscle tension in my back and below the clavicle area that shoots in my arms and the cardio doc thinks it's muscle tension but I didn't even ask about my throat. I forgot. Any thoughts???????

Karen, glad to hear you.I'm also almost 5 years twitcher and in my oppinion your trouble is 100% anxiety originally; nothing more, nothing less, trust me. It will pass away soon.

Karen: I have to agree. I recognize the throat thing as pure anxiety. Let your mind leave it behind and I'll bet you find it going away!BlessingsCindy

What you describes seems to be "globus". Such a common issue indeed.Anxiety is by far the most common trigger. You may ask for a barium swallow and a laryngoscopy, you may try PPI, but I'm sure nothing but reassurance and time could work better.
