Aching Bones & Aching Body

Hope nobody minds me posting or venting about some symptoms I'm having, and maybe someone out there can make my day by saying they have experienced some of this.My feet for some reason are killing me here lately. They just ache, like the bones in them are real achy feeling, or maybe like a headache in my feet. Then on top of this, my body just feels achy, like the areas that ache just start to rotate around my body throughout my body. I had a horrible panic attack this morning and I had to take a nap this afternoon because I was just wiped out after all that, and when I got up from the nap, I was sore everywhere. I extended my arm and it felt like someone had taken a hammer to the bend of it the whole time I was sleeping. Then my chest was real sore like it had been crushed while I was sleeping. Within and hour or so, all the soreness was gone, but all the achy cr*p was back, neck, head, feet, ankles, back.Does anyone else experience stuff like this?? Also, this one is kind of important for others to answer and I wish I had put it on one of my surveys. Does anyone else ever feel achy and run down like they are maybe getting sick but you are not?? Thanks to everyone for reading and a special thanks to any who answer.Robynn :D)

Robynn,I experience this almost daily. Do your joints pop and crack a lot also? I have a lot of the achy-ness, from my neck being the most painful to my lower back, my shoulders, hip bones, knees and ankles. Hows the weather where your at? Here in Cali its about 50 degrees for the past week; and i notice i feel it more when its cold and moist. did you have this before BFS? I'm not sure if its related or not, but i often question it. What you said about the chest thing; I HAVE THAT. every morning it seems, i wake up with my chest and stomach feeling like heavy weight was put on it and is sore, I dont know what that is about. I wish I could help you more, but try not to worry, slow moderate exercise may help, and I also heard supplements like glucosamine and omega 3 can help with joint achiness.loveCarmen :D)

Well yeah I'm pretty sure I'm not just getting sick. I just had the flu 4 weeks ago, so its pretty unlikely I'm doing that again. That and this only feels like you are coming down with something, but there is no real fever or chills like you would get with the flu, and that was what I asked, was, does anyone every have spells where they feel like they are getting sick but they are not??Take careRobynn :D)

My calf muscles are in constant pain. More like a persistent dull soreness. I often wonder if the constant twitching is responsible. Otherwise, no real pain except the "normal" kind from overuse.

I woke up today with all kinds of body parts feeling sore. I thought I might be getting sick but all I have are the aches. I have sharp pains going through my limbs and neck. Could be the Bfs or side effects from coming off my Klonopin.

12Drifter12Wow where ya been man- long time no talk to- good to see you are still around - i hope all is well with ya and you are not here due to relapse or some other crap- good to see your are still aroundDavid

mommyLDNmy girlfriend (fiance) has the very same thing she attributes it to fibro- she is always in terrible pain especially her neck and backjust thought you should here that -she is headed to a reumatoligist (spellling) anyway i hp you are feeling better and that you recover very soonD

oxycodone works wonders for bfs. the pain is gone. twitches slow down dramatically and all those sensations diminish. it been a miracle drug for me!

Mommy, This past week I feel like I have the flu. I am achy, tired, flu like and the general malaise is killing me. I sit at work with a foggy mind and very unproductive. MY jaw aches and I feel like I have TMJ. I have completly stopped exercising (my love) due to intense fatigue. Can anything help me? This has happened before but never this bad. I hope it goes into remission.John

Hello, In my case twitching is not the only problem. I do have weird aches and ongoing tension headaches for over a year now:/ I can totally understand what you feel since my "almost" whole year is like a bad dream:/ Every day some new crap :/

Thank you so much to everyone that took the time to respond to this, nice to know I'm not the only one who has experienced this. Sometimes I wonder if I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome instead of BFS just because the fatigue and aches are so big with me, but I have never heard much about twitches with CFS so who knows, who cares, whichever, it all kind of sux  Thanks again everyoneRobynn :D)

fatigue is a part of bfs. The best way to tell if you have bfs is.. fasciculations mostly in your calves and feet with random twitching all over.. hot spots that can last weeks like for example my bladder was twitching for about a month on and off. Along with the fasciculations in the calves and feet come sensations.. i describe it as an electrical rain shower in my legs.. but the sensations are many like buzzing. popping. muscle farts. bag of worms. bugs crawling. ect over time from constant nerve activity is causes pain especially in the legs.. working a hard labor job everyday just makes you want to take a hot bath every night.. The peripheral nervous system is hyper excited so over time the muscles become exhausted and pain is present. i dont believe anxiety causes bfs like many believe. i do know that anxiety can amplify symptoms.. mostly sensations and fasciculations. hope this helps on your quest.:)

Hi 12Drifter12, thanks for the info. I do have calf twitches but they are never constant. I also have random hit and runners all over, but the only constant ones that never stop are my FEET, arches, sides, tops, toes, they are nearly always going and my feet ache alot. The majority of my sensory stuff has gone although on occasion some of it comes back just to let me know its not gone completely, but it is not a constant thing anymore thank God. But this fatigue, its by far the most bothersome for me, it rarely lets up, most days I am just pushing to get through it and I cant wait for bed time so I can just sleep, only to have that disrupted by disturbing sleep starts. Therefore the next day I am more exhausted, then more twitches, then more muscle pain and fatigue. Its vicious cycle I pray will have an end someday. Thanks for sharing and listening, you're greatRobynn :D)

dear robynn, i had the same stuff going on and as you know it came out to be a form of a utoimmune rheuma (bechterew). there are many things that can cause these problems, from mineral imbalance to autoimmune issues. cancer i the least of possibilities. try a nutrition rich in omega 3 (algae oil and linoil) to struggle inflammation but poor in omega 6 which supports inflammation. i have changed my diet. furthermore i went vegan and low carbon and take some supplements (zinc, selen, magnesium, omega 3, b12, e, d and c. it seems to help with my inlammation and also with pain, fatique and twitching!all the best, laurent

Thanks Lauren, I appreciate the advice and your support. I think the reason I was feeling like that was because I had a low level chronic UTI (urinary tract infection). I started some treatment for that and have been feeling better. I'm not 100% sure thats what was causing me to feel like that, because I keep thinking I had felt like that before during all of this, but I just cant remember for sure. This whole year has been one big blur with strange symptoms and sensations, so who really knows.I hope you are doing better Lauren and please take careRobynn :D)

Hmmm. Seems like you and I are experiencing a lot of the same symptoms lately. I have been achey and tired, stiff jaw, worsened anxiety etc. I was also sick a month ago and have recovered but feel fatigued and achy now. Sometimes this makes me wonder about the theory of a possible viral connection to BFS. It really starts to toy with my emotions and I often just feel like crying out of the blue. I feel half crazy, wonder if I a imagining it, wonder if I have some horrible disease, and wonder if it will EVER get better. :crying: I feel like a real bummer with my family and I am trying to stay positive but it is hard.

hmmmm... you can get your vitamin levels checked.., have you had complete bloodwork? alot of times bloodwork will help solve. make sure you get bloodwork for everything even vitamin levels.. low energy is sometimes due to low b levels... take plenty of b12 and cal mag. if the pain is very bothersome you might want to consider painkillers. alot of people are against this because the are highly addictive.. i take painkillers because the pain from bfs is way too discomforting.. i notice that i get a big energy boost from opiate painkillers.. especially oxycodone.. right now i take hydrocodone because its easy to refill.. its not the best but at least i dont have to feel the discomfort in my legs.. but my best recommendation would be oxycodone because it eliminates all bfs symptoms. with hydrocodone i still have sensations but no pain. another painkiller that works well for bfs is tramadol.. alot of people are against this idea but its been a miracle for me.
