I had an abnormal nerve conduction study last week. Got the results yesterday and they show slowing in my motor nerves sensory nerves not affected… I've been reading and chatting with other members but does anyone have experience with this first hand? I've read that an abnormal nerve conduction points away from ALS but when I Google bad things pop up. I do you have severe elbow pain in both arms but only one was abnormal. my ortho believes cubital tunnel syndrome is the cause. But when I hear motor nerves I get freaked out. Help!!

Nerve conduction is slowed when nerve is physically damaged. So especially if you have pain, it is an indication of physcial damage in the nerve. It's like you have less cores in your cable just so.It happens in many cases of traumas, inflammationL compression etc. Not at all necessarily any fatal processes.
