24/7 Foot Fasciculations: No Relief

I have been experiencing nonstop 24/7, EVERY SECOND fasciculations in my feet. There is no let up to them and it is primarily on the instep and arches of both feet. It also causes the arches in my feet to suddonly cramp up. When I say nonstop, I mean there is not a break in the fascics. I still get twitching bodywide, bust mostly in my feet and calves. This all started about 3 months ago but has increased in my feet along with the painful cramping. I was just wondering if anyone else has this nonstop in their feet. The best way I can describe it is it looks like if you were to simmer a pot of sauce and watch the surface as it moves around. Also, I don't always feel the movement in my feet but when I look closely, it is disturbing to see how much my skin is jumping around.

Sure do!! I have had it constant like that for 2 years. Mine cramp also. Mine seem to cramp for like 1 week then stop cramping for a week, etc. The cramping cycle just continues but the twitching never stops.Sue

If I look at my feet there will always be fasciculations there... I can't remember a time in the past 7 months when my feet have been 'twitch-free'. The number of these fasciculations that I can feel (rather than just see) is relatively small, presumably because the muscles in the foot are themselves small so less likely to produce a palpable fasciculation.Foot fasciculations like this are completely compatible with BFS as far as I know.RegardsSimon

Hmm this is strange, most of the people here seem to have fascics that they see but can't feel. I feel every single one, but I see only the big ones in the larger muscles because many are so deep in the muscle or so small that they do not even make the skin move.

Hi AngstJust read your post. Being able to feel them is DEFINITELY reassuring and consistent with BFS!!! It doesn't matter whethr you see them or not in this case.CheersSimon

Indeed, Simon. I still think that the visibility of the twitches depends on the place, the muscle, and the question what sort of tissues you have there surrounding the muscles. Soft tissues (maybe body fat) may somehow dampen the twitching muscle, e.g. in the thigh. If you're a slim person, the twitches will be more visible because the skin is somehow tighter around them muscle and closer to it. Just an assumption...

It is normal for people to have fasciculations in the instep of their foot.. especially if you wear tight shoes or do any heavy lifting.. I remember watching my feet twitch for the forst time.. I could only see them not feel them.. and it freaked me out .. nearly 5 years later. I watch them twitch and laugh about how I used to be so scared. and angry at the same time that this stupid syndrome took so much of my time away where I could have been dong something productiveAny way... my feet cramp on the tops.. never on the bottoms.. but I don't twitch there.. when al this started, my toes would actually move as the twitching was going on.. that subsided.. you will be fine once you realize that this is not goiung to physically harm you
